Why does he "DESERVE" to fight Crawford? Based upon what exactly?

Because he is the #1 contender at welterweight and right now Crawford is the champion at welterweight. It's as simple as that. Let Boots prove himself "win or lose". Nobody is saying Boots will or won't be a great champion, we just would to see the fight. BOOTS IS THE #1 CONTENDER AT WELTERWEIGHT. #1 CONTENDERS ARE NEXT IN LINE TO FIGHT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

It's gonna be Crawford Canelo on May 4th. If I was Crawford, this is the fight I want. Win or lose he will get mega bucks and retire.

I agree. If Canelo were to fight Crawford and beat him then they will say he beat up on a little guy.

Should Bud fight his contractual rematch with Spence at least before you post this stuff?

And you do realize that Boots was offered the fight pre Spence and he said no? And that now Boots is calling for the fight knowing Bud has a rematch?

Why aren't you calling for Spence to hurry up and name a date?

Also you do realize it is prizefighting? Guys want the most money, the biggest fights?

Do you even know any of that? Because you seem to ignore the logical stuff. Why?

Embarrassing. Either a circus / exhibition type fight or a rematch of a horribly one-sided fight. From a sporting perspective, the two fights that make sense and that people should want to see are Ennis and Tszyu.

Crawford is just looking for the biggest paychecks because he'll turn 37 next year. I don't blame him, but let's call a spade a spade, if Canelo is ducking Benavidez, then Crawford is ducking Ennis.

                    I'm tired of this narrative.

So Boots should just quit boxing because he’s made a life altering decision?

Bud was asked about the Boots fight. He said he was looking for big money fights because he is 35 and hasn't made as much as he wants to in his career. It is prizefighting, the Spence fight elevated him big time because he dominated a P4P guy. He has a few years left in the sport and wants big paydays.

Bud Boots is not a huge fight. Boots has not beat anyone better than B level. Damn good fighter. But he doesn't fight great comp. Thus, he isn't a huge draw. Villa landed a lot of big shots on Boots. Those shots from Bud seriously hurt Boots. Boots was offered Bud last year, he said no. He only talks about Bud when Bud is training to fight someone else, or as is the case now, Bud has the rematch clause with Spence.

So why Spence's former fans jumping to have Bud stripped before he has even fought the rematch? Bud may vacate. He may change his mind and fight Boots. After the Villa fight, Bud is definitely not scared. He will hurt Boots. This is why Boots turned him down behind the scenesand only calls him out when he has other fights.

Regardless, Bud should at least get to fight his contracted rematch, and then decide what to do, right?
