Ennis had a stellar amateur career but his pro career reminds me somewhat of Peter Quillin's, a whole lot of nothing. Quillin was the boogieman right up until he wasn't and nobody now is giving Jacobs any credit for bringing that house, built on nothing, down.

Crawford destroys Ennis for a smallish paycheck and a very fleeting moment of credit.

The Bud hate causes literal delusional thinking.
It's not Bud hate, it's the crap about him not fighting Boots. He could fight Boots after fighting Spence for the rematch. Look at boxing history. There is a reason for #1 contenders. Boots deserves to fight Crawford in 2024 after Crawford fights Spence.

Every single fighter in history has to fight tomato cans on the way up. Lewis fought them, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, Mayweather, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Hearns, Pacquaio, they all fought tomato cans on their way to the top. Quillin just didn't pan out. Boots is far more talented than Quillin. No one said that Boots will be the man down the line, we just want to see him fight for a title against Crawford. If it's that easy for Crawford to beat Boots, then let him knock out Boots to shut the boxing public up.

Ok. And no fighter ever negotiates fights down the road when they have a guy to fight already.

Crawford may decide to fight Ennis after the Spence rematch. He may move up and leave the belts open. Until he starts sitting on them for months, why are people so nutty about him being stripped???

If anything, Spence former fans need to be asking....why is Spence taking so long to decide on the weight for the rematch and why is he holding up the belts? Bud has said he is waiting on Errol. How is that hard to understand?

Excellent analogy. Quillin was hugely hyped, knocking out B level guys, and when he moved up to A level, he got embarrassed.

I like Boots. But he has been playing games ducking Bud, then calling him out while Bud has the Spence rematch. How can anyone be dumb enough not to see that?

A legitimate Canelo (168) vs Bud (147) fight (no catchweights, hydration clauses, weight stips) is never going to happen.

Why doesn't Bud just stay at 147 where he's at his best and make future, big-name fights with Teofimo, Subriel, Haney and maybe even Tank.

Ennis is not doing himself any favor by not being proactive. Don't tell me he'll be waiting again next year and not look for any other fight. That's pathetic.

It's crazy to hear so many people saying he should be stripped of titles he hasn't;t even had for six months yet... Just to satisfy some weird need to see him fight somebody who has done nothing to even set himself to fight the top guy... other than call his name out while he's already under obligation....

Nobody would be thinking about Bud fighting Boots but Bud brought attention to himself by saying that he would never fight Boots now or later. Even after the Spence rematch.

When Mikey Garcia, a lightweight, "saw something" and challenged Spence after being highly rated at 147 when he shouldn't have been, NSB criticized that jump and never gave Spence the credit for what became a Top 5 Welterweight win. Spence never called Mikey out, he went with it because pretty much all of the orgs, NSB and the social media fans overrated Mikey after he dominated Broner, Lipinets and Bunny.

But all of a sudden, when it's Crawford trying to fight a Super Middleweight, NSB is cool with it.

There are obvious bias reasons as to why one was acceptable and the other not.

Also, if he vacated all of the 147 titles, he can do whatever and we'd be cool with it. The fact he's sitting on the belts AND calling out lightweights, jr. middleweights and super middleweights is the issue.

All he has to do is vacate 147 - ALL of them - and we'd be absolutely cool with whatever he wants to do and whoever he wants to fight. The reason he doesn't vacate is that he knows that without belts, he's not worth getting in the ring with.

Which is why Boots and/or Crowley (preferrably Boots) remain the best options for him - and yes, he CAN fight Boots, he doesn't want to.
I'm happy with the IBF! Boots was chasing Spence for about 2 years! Crawford has no intentions of fighting @ 147 (unless it's Tank) so they did the right thing! Like you said, I'm not mad at Crawford being on the paper chase, just let the belts go!

What do you think happens to Boots without SHO, and not being signed to PBC?
