Well yea that's another point. The production level and presentation and outlets for promoting fights today is much better than it was even 10 years ago, and Oscar and HBO have a lot to do with that.

Again, I'm not one to **** on Floyd all day like some dudes do on here, I'm just not that naive. Floyd indeed is the sport's biggest money maker, but you can't just outright compare him to Oscar off of 3 big PPVs (which GBP had a part to do in each of the 3). I disagree with you on the promotion of 10 years ago. Its just an HBO special, it could have been done which leads me to my next point,

Who is to say thats why he did it? Thats what you dont get. Floyd loves going on Wrestling, period. He grew up on it. He will do it even when the boxing stops. He even said that he may retire from boxing and become a full time wrestler. Also again, unless you sell out like a punk then it doesnt matter how you do it as long as you do it and he does it. The numbers dont lie.

All in all, Im tired of arguing about the stuff but the fact is the numbers speak for themselves. If he fights Mosley or anyone next he probably does 1.5 at the minimum and if he fights Pac he probably does 3. How can you downplay that? No one isnt saying that Oscar isnt a bad boy but give Floyd his due. Im tired of arguing because I know Im not going to win because when it comes to Floyd he will always be hated on and it will always be spun how it wasnt because of him. It gets old to me. The man is undefeated, rated P4P #1 or 2, and is the biggest money man in the game. People dont want to accept that for whatever reason but they need to start.

Well one thing we didn't have 10 years ago is viral marketing, which is absolute key in this day and age. I don't think Floyd or his promotion had really anything to do with that more than the networks just getting familiar with the times.
