mayweather thinks hes on Oscars level? well hes not

He thinks hes hot **** and to me it seems like he aspires and is trying to get on de la hoyas level in terms of breaking into the mainstream like him. It was funny to me how in alot of interviews him and ellerbe show cased his mainstream resume of being on dancing with the stars, wwe, and an at&t commercial. If oscar show cased his resume, it would take all day. He has not proven himself. Rack in over 935,000 buys with a guy like ricardo mayorga WITH OUT a 24/7, then were talking. Until then, expect mayweathers next opponent for a mega fight to have a following himself. He fears fighting mosley would result in a weak revenue income, oscar did 950,000 with shane, whats the least mayweather could do? Not saying Mayweather is not a draw.

Are you ******? Floyd just did a mil with JMM. You think he cant do a mil with Mosley? He's every bit as big of a PPV guy as Oscar is now wether you people want to admit it or not. The numbers dont like.

Well he is the "DLH" of boxing as of right now since DLH retired. And if the fight with PACcan be made (assuming pac wins) that fight will have a good chance of breaking all boxing revenue records which would put him above DLH in the sense that he has done something that DLH didnt.

I wouldn't say he is as big of a draw as Oscar, but him and Pacquiao are the closest to being since DLH left.

Oscar has longevity at that level. To be fair to Floyd, he's just beginning his reign.

Oscar's PPV fights during his reign as PPV king were actually against top prime guys:

          Vargas
          Mosley (2xs)
          Hopkins
          Trinidad
          Mayweather

          Floyd's biggest PPVs were:

          Oscar
          Hatton
          Marquez

Not necessarily the cream of the crop, but like I said, to be fair...if Floyd fights Pac, Mosley, and or Cotto or maybe all three at some point, then the comparison can be paralleled. Also keep in mind Oscar had a lot to do with all 3 of those fights. We have yet to see a big Mayweather PPV without GBP being involved.

If floyd keeps it up and keep being consistant like de la hoya then he will be on that level. But he is damn near on his level. Just got to keep it up

Floyd is somewhat different then De La Hoya in that Floyd thrives on creating controversy and ill will, while Oscar paid to keep his image squeeky clean at all costs. They appeal to different markets Oscar brought in a lot of women, Floyd brings in people that hate him.

I would say they are pretty close at this point, if Floyd is not Oscar's equal he is only a half step behind.

People so underestimate what Floyd does. The man just set the PPV record with Oscar. Oscar didnt do that by himself. He's fought a ton of big names and Floyd shattered what he did with those other guys. Then fools on here brag about Hatton because he has fans in the UK but what does that have to do with the US? No one in the US knew Hatton. NO one and Floyd did 850,000 but people still didnt want to give him the credit. Then he fights JMM who has no name and has never did any kind of numbers. Everyone said the fight would fail and he did a mil. Stop acting like he isnt that big or isnt Oscar. He is now wether you want to admit it or not. Even alot of Floyd fans cant bring themselves to say it but the numbers dont lie
