Is it fair to label Andrade a fraud?

Really what we seen was a typical modern day fighter preserving their '0' and then cashing out.

I think apart from a few nerds boxing fans did the right thing with Andrade though rather than hyping him and playing up they just forgot about him. I'm glad to see that, honestly and think we should do this more often. Stop hyping undefeated, semi slick fighters who won't take risks and just act like they don't exist until they step it up and fight who they are supposed to.
He could have maybe built a solid career for himself but he was just content on feasting on C level opposition hoping for a Canelo payday.

First few rounds I was actually impressed by Andrade. He was aggressive and was getting his shots off.

But it was clear Benevidez was just feeling him out and once he felt his lack of real power it was just a matter of time before he broke him down.

I can see why fans were hyping him up based on the eye test but it’s clear he was largely a product of his lower level competition.

Except those are the fights Andrade turned down his entire career.

No because he tried to be great but that one punch rule? It applies here. All it takes is one punch. Andrade tried very hard and you can see he had success but he was going up against a much bigger boxer.

His career was essentially proof of it, when Saul called him a horrible fighter, he knew what he was looking at when he fought at 154 & 160. Just a shame

Not a fraud. Very talented but his talent has atrophied through lack of use.

pro has levels. Booboos. Level is what he was dominating, he steps up he gets beat.
Disagree. Lots of Olympians who can't do **** in the pro ranks though. Amateur and Pro boxing is a completely different sport. I often compare the two to fencing and sword fighting.

Mark Brieland, Audley Harrison, Anthony Hembrick all spring to mind.

he had me fooled a bit for this one anyway, i thought he might actually pull it out, but looking back andrade always seemed very content just doing what he was doing fighting who he was fighting over the years, his fans said everyone was avoiding him and poor boo boo cant catch a break & that he wasted his career, well he made decent cash for an easy run for him, bit like GRJ at the lower weights, cruising along no real ambition just make easy cash now and then and tell everyone how great u actually really are, without proving it of course, i thought crawford was doing something similar for years too actually

Instead he fought the likes of Katundowka, Keeler, Quigley, Akavov etc. There was the odd fringe top 10 guy like Vanes, Williams or Sulecki but even those guys were clearly levels below who he should have been fighting.

Yet we were told how skilled Andrade was, how he was so elusive, sharp, accurate, slippery, yet the moment he stepped up, we saw absolutely none of those attributes.

I thought he won one round, the second. Benavidez looked the sharper fighter, he found him easy to hit and he essentially just beat the sh** out of him for 6 rounds until Andrade quit on his stool.

This guy was never an elite fighter.
Say what you will but the so called fraud got this far by owning his skills
I don’t agrre with what he’s done with his career but it is what it is
When you don’t fight top competition , it’s just a matter of time before you get exposed
                      Thats where the problem lyes
