I think he's got talent and physical tools but he's got something a bit off mentally, kind of like a not as extreme version of Andrew Golota, he just switches off in the ring and starts daydreaming, it's weird.

I've called him the new Kubrat Pulev, that's how I see him overall, decent but not a factor at the top end, he's a more talented boxer than Kubrat but his mentality sets his ceiling lower than he could be.

His only notable victory is Zhilei Zhang, and that was a gift. He also won a Bronze at the 2016 Olympics and gave Deontay Wilder a tough spar about 12-13 years ago. Seems like these are the reasons people rate him so highly. Literally no other reason. Same old moronic posters talking in riddles with no real substance behind what they're saying. Gave BoxingScene chit posters the chance to change my opinion. Seems I was right all along, yet again.

Let's look at some facts that make me question his credentials:

              - He got a gift decision against Zhilei Zhang (this is not up for debate)

              His top 5 wins:
              • 22-0 Demsey McKean (TKO12) - a domestic-level Australian, whose greatest wins are against 13-4-1 Jonathan Rice or 42-year-old Victor Oganov who was coming off a 2-year layoff
              • 22-0 Marko Radonjic (RTD3) - the Euro trash opponents on his unblemished record have a combined record of 119-301-2
              • 23-2-1 Amir Mansour (KO3) - Mansour was 46 years old and hadn't fought in almost a year since pissing dirty
              • 10-0 Emir Ahmatovic (TKO3) - every opponent on his record had a losing record, besides 45-year-old Ruben Angel Mino, who hadn't fought in three years and had been knocked out early in his last 4 fights. Ahmatovic went on to get flattened by David Adelaye
              • 27-5 Eric Molina (KO3) - Molina was 37, coming off 1 fight in 2 years. Molina went on to get flattened by Fabio Wardley
Feel free to correct me if you think he has better wins than these.

Maybe you like his win over Rydell Brooker, who was inactive for a year and fought Hrgovic in the midst of going 3-6-1 in his last 10 fights...

Maybe you like his win over Gregory Corbin, currently 15-5 with his most notable wins boasting 14-8-3 and 2-1 records...
              Why?

Because he beat six undefeated fighters. He beat Zhang if you score round by round and the punch stats which don't mention and officially won all three score cards and is still undefeated.

Hrgovic was robbed in the Olympics of Gold, and is never down ( Save be poorly called hit and pull down behind his head ) which the ref called legal.

He has been ducked by a many heavyweights. I think he is the best around and will make a good World Champion.

Be on the looking for my updated Q4 2023 heavyweight prospect list which will feature 20 undefeated fighters and go into detail about their skills, size, and why they are ranked where they are. Coming soon to the theater near you!

Yup, that's about the sum of things.

Fil's most ardent fans are "chit posters".

Fil's best defense in this thread came from a poster who isn't a Fil fanboy and acknowledges that ship sailed.

There's ya proof right there bro.

Fil's most vehement defenders are the clown Juggies and the propagandist Z. Big shock, no substance to support their bull.

I can sum up everything Juggie has to say about Fil in every post past and future: Him better dan Wilder for ****** self defeating reasons contrary to the point ... arg I hate Wilder

And Z, man, must be hard to write your spin for a child whose barely begun to have any news about him at all let alone braggable news.

Daggum might jump into any thread to make it about Wilder too. He likes to believe he's different from Jugs but really he just uses a better vocab. They make the same exact point pretty much every time they post on any HW.

Yet, there seems to be a consensus Fil is worth a ****.

Honestly I don't think it's difficult to see through. I can be wrong about the motive, maybe it isn't racial, but the form and substance is the same. It's a false consensus built on alts and spinelessness.

That said, 1k points to W1LL for giving them their chance, playing fair, and letting them hang on their own rope.

This is pretty funny you keep asking for substance and you were giving solid ones including mine you had no answer for ? You basically created a thread you’ll just keep circling around and around while agreeing with the majority of posters here that are more in line to your thinking who didn’t actually answer your questions so I’m assuming this isn’t really a thread about Hrgovic more then it’s trying to discredit a fighter Fury hasn’t fought .

If he was on Fury’s resume he’d become a killer over night like Wallin did .

His amateur career. Guy had about as much hype as Usyk when he turned pro. Difference is, Usyk didn't sit around fighting no hopers his entire career regressing the entire time.
