If AJ doesn't fight Wilder next with all the $$$ the Saudi's are throwing their way I'd be surprised.
Eddie clearly doesn't want it to happen tho, but hopefully AJ is his own man & bypasses Eddie on this one. That said AJ's weirdo performance at the presser doesn't give me 100% hope he's his own man by having Eddie give him softball questions over answering the hosts questions.Comment

That is a plain business move from the promoter for his client. But business moves do not always excite boxing fans so I can understand the disappointment as I too was looking forward to seeing a competitive fight between Joshua and Wilder.
Eddie justified Joshua taking two tune-up fights by promising us the Wilder fight is next. Now, he is putting AJ in a third tune-up fight telling us the IBF belt and Hrgovic is next. It seems there is no immediate interest in fighting Wilder or Zhang or Fury or Ruiz or anyone dangerous. Smart business move but not exciting for boxing fans.Comment

2018 Deontay Wilder: Joshua Asked For $50 Million, We Provided That, He Didn't Take It
Barry Hearn: We Should Wait Two Years To Make Joshua-Wilder
Barry Hearn explained, “you know, in commercial terms AJ and Deontay Wilder today is a $70 million fight, maybe $80 [million]. In two years’ time, it might be $250, $300 million.”
where you say, ‘Do I see anyone out there to beat either of them?’ No. Could it happen? Yes. ‘OK, that was a bad call.’ But, you know, life’s about making calls. It’s not about sitting still, not taking chances. So I think Shelly Finkel wanted to cash in on Deontay Wilder straight away.
