And DLS isnt some straight killer, he went the distance his last fight with a midget and has been dropped and outboxed before.

It is so funny reading all the excuses, from almost the same people that crucified Rigondeaux and Lara. Especially Lara against canelo. What a bunch of fakes, I do understand his strategy, de los santos should have take a more violent approach, shakur wasn't landing anything becase he wasn't throwing punches.lilacp likes this.

No one is asking that he risk his life, just that he make some semblance of a boxing match / fight, which he did not. You sound like a casual in the regard that you think that qualified as boxing match, it was closer to table tennis.

But you want that to not be the case in boxing just so that you can play Captain Save A Ho for Shakur’s horrible performance.

Silly slogans like "the customer is always right" are exactly the reason why the sheep of the world act like entitled b**** that think they're never wrong. Nobody or nothing is always gonna be right. This ain't no department store or Pizza Hut. This is boxing. If you don't like it, go visit a psychic before the fights with all the other "fans" on here and ask them how the fights are gonna go. Then you won't hafta worry about b%$^*ing and moaning about watching boring fights. Ain't nobody defending his performance. It wasn't great, but he did what he had to do against a worthy opponent and got the W. Simple as that.

Both guys last night didn't look that good. DLS was able to more or less hang with Shakur in a very slow fight, so that's to his credit, but he's the puncher, and he never tried to go through the gears. I never felt like he came to win, especially since we JUST had an example of what that looks like in the previous fight. And Shakur was absolutely flat. That was his opportunity to show out and he didn't. Didn't even try.
And as for not feeling well, if you watch ONE championship, in the last Prime fight, Mikey Musumeci went up 20 lbs to fight Aoki, still got in the ring despite being in the hospital a few days before, and then submitted Aoki with a move that Aoki invented. That's what a champ looks like when he's not feeling well...Last edited by crimsonfalcon07; 11-17-2023, 02:15 PM.garfios likes this.

By purist I mean as in I watch the sport for the skills, abilities and toughness and not necessarily for the entertainment value. Of course, like all the kids here crying about fights being boring, yea I would love for every fight to be entertaining. But like it's said in boxing: styles make fights. Some styles mesh perfectly and some styles don't mesh at all. These boxing "fans" here acting like this is something new. If you assumed a fight would be a great fight and it doesn't happen, can only blame yourself for assuming it would be that. Nobody can predict how any fight is gonna go. Ain't that hard to understand.
