The ABC bodies can be very inconsistent with enforcing their own rules. What's the point of having pages of rules/regulations if you refuse to apply them? WBC lets Jermall go on a two year hiatus when he could've been made 'champion in recess'. Cordina was stripped after the Ogawa fight due to injury, but Spence was allowed to keep his title even after the car accident. Many new titlists are forced to fight mandatories because the previous champion barely fought any mandatories. Sanctioning bodies are cherry-pickers too, and it's one of the more frustrating realities of following the sport.Last edited by kiaba360; 11-09-2023, 07:12 PM.Comment

Since the IBF #1 and #2 are vacant, Ennis will get to do a voluntary against anyone in the top 10. My guess is he picks Jamal James or Alexis Rocha. Would love to see Santillan, but no way papa Ellis allows that.......Comment

Well, they followed their rules when they made the fight between him and Chukhadzhian for the "Interim"belt. And then he defended it versus Roiman Villa. So, in their minds that's what they did (fight nearest contender). Their current highest ranked fighter is Cody Crowley. So, hopefully, they mandate that as his next fight.Comment
