My su****ion is that Eddie, not AJ, is the one keeping AJ away from the top fighters. Wilder has a long history of not fighting ranked fighters (and I rate him despite that, but we still have to be honest). Pretty sure the issue with that fight is 100% financial

Another issue is that they are both now looking at the possibility of fighting Ngannou instead of each other. Francis wants another big payday in the ring. AJ and Wilder are probably his best options. And from their point of view, fighting Francis may be a better option, in terms of risk/reward, than fighting each other.

I would watch that. Zhang wants all the smoke. I suspect it's probably Hearn preventing the big matchups though.

Emperor Zhang has all of these cowards running scared. They won't fight him unless they absolutely have to. Eddie won't let AJ anywhere near Zhang. I'd love to see Mr. UFC Bad Azz Francis in with Zhang. I doubt he'd want that Chinese smoke either. The whole division is terrified after seeing how he destroyed Juggernaut twice.

If Francis was to beat AJ or Wilder and Fury beats Usyk, the Fury-Ngannou rematch would possibly be the biggest heavyweight fight since Ali vs. Frazier I.

As folk have said, Zhang is a high risk low reward fighter for anyone in the division. He will have to force himself into a position that makes it an attractive fight for folk i.e big money or belts or it's not happening.

I hope Zhang gets an opportunity against one of the big names before its too late, but lets face it nobody with real star power to protect is going to be too keen to go near him.
