There will be a final "Showtime Championship Boxing" broadcast after all. BoxingScene.com has learned that Premier Boxing Champions has scrapped its plans for what would've been a Showtime Pay-Per-View event December 9 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Showtime instead will televise a three-bout show December 16 from The Armory in Minneapolis.

I guess they took the temperature and my boy Thurman isn't pulling in the numbers (for obvious reasons) they need. Just look at the Benavidez vs Andrade card as a comparison to what this one was going to look like. Hopefully, both of those fights (Lara vs Garcia being the other) still take place, just somewhere else and NOT as a PPV.

That would be nice to see PBC and TR fighters scrap with no real obstacles, but in kinda hoping the prime rumors are true. ESPN commentary is really bad. If prime dedicates the same resources to boxing that they do for football, it’d be much better than ESPN broadcast.
