Usyk is approaching 37. He's active but realistically doesn't have many fights left in him. He really needs Fury.

Wilder is 38. And inactive. I reckon we get one more fight out of him but he's basically done. Out of all of them - he's the one who left everything too late. Title defences go towards his legacy but his resume really isn't anything of note. I can see him fighting Joshua but I think that's his farewell.

Joshua and Fury just turned 34 and 35 respectively. They've got a bit of time on their side. They can decide the era if they make the fights.
Fury and Usyk will be fighting very early next year (hopefully). If Wilder-AJ also happens within that time frame (say by Mar/Apr), then the winner of the Fury-Usyk can have one more fight towards the end of that year and that will complete the top-level fights because that guy would have fought the other 3 of the top-4. Yes, it will be late but better late than never.

Would be something that I would never have thought would happen 5 years ago (To be honest I thought Anthony Joshua would be)
Likely, he needs a match vs Fury to cement it. Then there shall be no questions.

Oleksandr Usyk is a great fighter, and a highly-decorated fighter. If he was to unify the division then he deserves all the accolades and plaudits that come his way.

did hatton's opponent get 5 minutes?
Hatton vs Lazcano. There were several low/borderline body shots by both guys and both were warned to keep it clean by the ref. There were no knockdowns during that fight.

Btw, have you ever heard the expression .. two wrongs don't make a right?

Usyk - the best of this era? For what? I can agree with him being the best cruiser, despite the Briedis fight where he scored draw at best and his low number of fights. But at heavy - Chisora, Chazz, AJ and corruption against a bum who in fact knocked him out?! Overall, Usyk complained of low blows as many fights as Fury was knocked down. Also add the total number of his fights.

He will have unified 2 divisions in only 22 fights with all his title wins coming on the road. Three of his title wins were over world champions fighting in their home towns. Two of them were over undefeated champs. If he beats Fury that will be 3 undefeated world champs Usyk has turned over.

Add to that his World Championship and Olympic gold medals as an amateur, plus his undefeated run at super heavyweight in the WSB.
Usyk cheerleader spotted - "best of all time" with some 20 fights in which he has a controversial win against Briedis (a draw fight) and a loss by a bum like Dubois, but saved by corrupt referee?

If he beats Fury then Usyk will deservedly be considered the best HW of his era, as well as one of the 2 best cruiserweights ever.

The way idiots ignore reality and invent their own results for fights if the fights don't go the way they wanted is hilarious!

Beats Fury, and Wilder 'He would have to be considered the best of this era'.

All of the top-4 Heavyweights, still have a opportunity to prove that they are the best of the era.

Fury, Usyk, Joshua and even Wilder 'But Wilder is the furthest away from proving this. Wilder did effectively knock-out Fury during their first fight, Fury did not win the fight and the fight was a draw 'You don't win World title's, by being backed up all night and decked twice'.

Note: No Heavyweight right now, can claim that they are the unequivocally best Heavyweight of this era 'I rate Joshua & Wilder as better overall Champions than Fury, due to defending their World Title's a higher number of times, and taking on all comers to a certain extent. Joshua is most likely been the best Champion of this era to date' etc.
