Calzaghe was never really champ until he had about 18 defenses of his crap strap.

Technically he was a title holder, making him a champ of sorts. I was meaning he would have probably never even gotten his first belt.

Had Roy chose to stay @ SMW and defend rather than move up to LHW, he would have just taken all the belts there instead, including the one Joe wound up sitting on for ten years doing nothing to further his career. Steve Collins would have just been another bum like the rest who got destroyed by Roy in his prime. You know as well as I do that Toney was the best SMW and Jones shut him out. Jones was the best there when he moved up and was 100% undisputed @ LHW. Hence, being the 'Ring' world champ. You can go back eluding to Jones not facing DM all you want but you and I both know he didn't want to make the fight with the guy who called all the shots.(P4P#1 at the time. Like Manny Pacquiao would let somebody presently dictate a fight with him, get real) Dariusz wanted a hometown hero fight and wasn't willing to fight Jones any other way. That's the only reason there wasn't lineage whether you like it or not.
