I saw no signs of decline in any fight toward the end of Joe's career and I was rooting for him in every one aside from the Jones fight. I never said he didn't hit hard but he has always lacked one punch power as is evident in his only real KO's being against guys who have been wrecked a lot worse by lesser fighters than Joe before and after their fights. I also never, ever heard about Joe injuring his hand in the Jones fight. Not saying it didn't happen, but it certainly didn't effect the fact that Roy was going the distance. Joe was always going to look good against a stationary target on the ropes as Jones has become at the end of his career. Go look at the punch stats and you will see that Roy was even still a more accurate power puncher than Joe at that very declined stage of his career. Prime Roy didn't sit on the ropes and take shots, he circled and fired blinding combinations. Joe just did what he always did and still got dropped by old Roy.
Sorry to lay it down like that man, but that's the truth whether you like it or not.
