Hopkins, Tony, Griffin, McCallum, Gonzalez, Woods, Hill = the definition of bum.

After Roy outclassed a guy so easily in his prime, he was always called a bum until he went on to capture a world title against other strong opponents.

The word 'dense' comes to mind again strangely enough.

Remind me again the notable guys Joe Calzaghe beat in his prime?
    >Shouldn't take long.
    Peter Manfredo
    Jeff Lacy
Got knocked down by Byron Mitchell
Had a hard time against Charles Brewster

    Joe is an ATG!! ^_*

Pretty convenient you named only those fighters and mentioned Joe was dropped by Mitchell. Didn't Roy get dropped by Del Valle? You forgot to mention Kessler who is still the best 168 lber and favorite for the tourney and Hopkins who just came off a big win against the #1 mw. Didn't Roy have a hard time with Harding until the injury? If you watch RJJ-Harding and Calzaghe-Brewer I think both fights were tough.

Point was, Jones beat a hell of a lot better so called-bums than Calzaghe did in their respective primes. Old Eubank was all Joe did in his physical prime. Also, it's kinda funny how a lot of the guys Jones beat went on to do something afterwards while everyone Joe beat did ****all afterwards, meaning they were always on the slide. Just like Jones and Hopkins. If you think Joe would have went twelve with prime Jones, you need to take up being a fan of euro-football or something. Spare us here.

I love how they also ignore the fact that Joe isn't much younger than Roy or Hop. Prime Calzaghe was much faster and a much harder and crisper puncher then the one who dismantled Hop and Roy. Joe also had very fragile hands when he fought them both...

It's true. Joe was always a pretty big super middle. Even in the early days he was fighting guys such as Bobbie Joe Edwards (Eubank's cousin) who weighed in at 178 for that fight. Against Trevor Ambrose (another early pro fight) he was around 170. 168 was always the lowest he could ever get down to while remaining effective.

Joe must be 200+ these days. He was always pretty close to 200 when not fighting anyway.

                    Manfredo = easy pay day
Lacy = don't lie, you thought he would knock Calzaghe out
Mitchell = Calzaghe knocked him out in the same round
Brewer (not 'Brewster') = 119-109 / 117-112 / 118-111 cannot be described as "a hard time". You fail.

Lacy = I never heard of him until that fight.
Mitchell = Its a seesaw round. Its just Mitchell just gassed so he's lucky
Brewster = Not impressed with that win. It's horrible
