You know, maybe some of the things I wrote were a result of Clottey’s style or Jennings being in survival mode and not giving much offense for Cotto to work with, but that point you bolded, I’m sold on. His legs don’t look the same. Good point about him getting squared up and slightly gunshy/indecisive. I agree completely.

Ya Ya ...after Pac finished Hatton, he said that maybe they can do a fight with Mosley and Cotto at a catchweight. Cotto call out and said if Pac wanted a fight with him he would be glad to but no lower than 145.

143-144 is a level playing field.

142-140 is giving pac the advantage.

        comprende?

You really think Mosley would make even 143? He's bigger than Floyd and Floyd couldnt even make 144. How is Mosley going to make anything less?
I dunno, but he said he could do it... i don't necessarily believe but he did say it.

I agree... also cotto didn't have to accept
that's not a real competitor, that's a desperate man trying to land a mega fight

cotto didn't have to accept, but why wouldn't he? a LW is offering you a mega fight in which you'll earn a better p4p ranking if you win, AND tons of money. who wouldn't take it?

this is my 2 cents..cotto isnt damaged physically..but mentally i think this is a make or break fight for him..if you look at the begining of the margo fight, then look at the clottey fight he clearly doesnt have the same confidence he had then...he second guesses himself it seems and at times it seemed he doubted himself in the clottey fight..if cotto comes into this fight 100 percent sure of himself and fights like he did at the begining of the margo fight then i see him ko pacman...but if he fights like he did in the clottey fight pacman will stop him...lets see which cotto turns up

nope, that's a man willing to fight at a level playing field or give up the advantage for greater glory

cotto didn't have to accept, but why wouldn't he?
                cause he's a WW and pac's a jr WW.

mosley's desperate to land a fight. are you denying it?

pac's not just "a" JWW, he's THE JWW lineal champ, and he became that via a 2nd round KO. did JMM KO casamayor for the LW title in 2 rounds or did he struggle? JMM originally said to floyd that he wanted it to be at 140. pac told 143, but cotto always said no less than 145.

JMM = SFW that moved up and struggled in LW
PAC = freak that moved up and, instead of struggling, battered the JWW champ and looked amazingly fast at WW against a dead guy

who proved that he could carry his skills to other weight classes? JMM or pac?

oh and btw, JMM ended up fighting at WW, not at 145

cotto's been busting his ass fighting all the guys in his division and then a JW p4p champ calls him out.. dont you think you would take it?.. cotto deserves the payday and recognition and dont worry after the pacman fight cotto will go back to what he does best.. fight the best at WW

it's more nuanced than that: everyone is ducking mosley.

pac's not just "a" JWW, he's THE JWW lineal champ, and he became that via a 2nd round KO. did JMM KO casamayor for the LW title in 2 rounds or did he struggle? JMM originally said to floyd that he wanted it to be at 140. pac told 143, but cotto always said no less than 145.
yep, but pac is still w jr WW

cotto will still have a 10+ lbs weight advantage

who proved that he could carry his skills to other weight classes? JMM or pac?
both did... jmm should go above 135... pac shouldn't go above 140 lbs

oh and btw, JMM ended up fighting at WW, not at 145
yup, and cotto is a MW on fight night

so you're saying floyd did the right thing by fighting jmm?

cotto deserves the payday and recognition
