Floyd has lw power at ww FACT

What you attempted to do was position it as "JLC spooked Floyd to the extent that he never wanted to engage again". If that is your argument, then why would he get an immediate rematch? Please explain/
What you guys are failing to notice is that Floyd is taking the biggest paydays. Period. It is no coincidence that he has become the biggest earner in the sport. The sad reality is that the biggest challenges are guys who can't draw flies. That is BOXING's fault. not Floyd's. You may not like his paper chase, i may not like it, but he told you what it is, and he is on that hustle.
Don't you think there were easier fights than Delahoya at 154? Seriously.
Floyd started doing three years ago what Shane is doing NOW. True story.Comment

The only thing stopping Mayweather from showing his power, is his fear of hurting his hands more seriously than he has already. That was the real reason behind his "retirement". Sure, brawls are more exciting to the casual observer, but a technical deconstruction of an opponent is far more exciting for me. Anyone can throw wild shots and end up catching someone and knocking them out...but it takes real skill to avoid your opponents punches while landing when ever you feel like it.
Mayweather uses the best protective gloves out there. Maybe that affects his power, but if you got it you got it. All fighters got their issues at one time or another.Comment

Oh, trust me. I know what you were trying t say with your straw man argument. I just don't think it has the validity that you think it did.

Regardless of how "Numero Uno" was marketed, or what you paid for it, it was a tune-up. Floyd wanted to see, and we ALL wanted to see, what he had left.
If Floyd came back and had a "Kevin Howard moment", that would have been embarrassing and ****** on his part. And, in truth, I prefer to see mayweather-marquez than mayweather-cardona.
So, I wasn't mad at the tune-up.Comment

If you go up in weight cuz you can make a certain weight limit. But, the weight you gaining is diminishing your skills. Then yes you are blown-up. But, if you moving up weight and you keeping your best attributes. It means you are at your more natural weight. What skills has been diminished in Floyd cuz the move up in weight? And, he can't make 140. So he is at his most natural weight. And, he is a true WW. Do you consider Pac a blown-up SFW?
Another example. B-Hop is a true LHW. When he fought Pavlik B-Hop was a true LHW. Pavlik in the other hand was a blown up MW. The lil skills that Pavlik has diminished cuz of the weight. Yes some B-Hop skills has been diminished. But, it was more to do with age than weight.Comment

No. Please keep it real. When roy was on his comeback path, he fought Prince Osama bin Laden in North Dakota. Hopkins ius fighting Enrique Iglesias.

And actually, for the record, Roy didn't come back to fight Prince Badi Ajamu, he took a year and a half layoff, came back and fought TARVER.Comment

Thank you...it isn't that he is afraid of the competition...but why would you take a paycut so that the boxing "purists" get to see what they want to see? If Cotto-Pacquiao doesn't outsell the Mayweather-JMM fight, then it will be no doubt who the current biggest draw in boxing is right now to the casual fan. To sell that much after an almost two year absence tells you about his draw power and why it would be difficult to take a paycut and a harder fight at the same time. Would you take a paycut to do more work at your job?Comment
