He's right but most spectators generally pay to watch a fighter they like rather than a good match-up. I'm not going to hate on AJ for taking 2 or 3 confidence builders/stay busys after Usyk, he needed them. But the reality is you could put AJ in with a doorman and people would still turn up.

Until broadcasters and spectators stop over-paying for trash fights then it will continue. The PPV model has been abused because ****** fans will pay extra for crap.

The option for AJ or anybody else should be there to take a step down but it should be a lot less lucrative to encourage good match making. The best fight the best much more often in the weight classes that are less lucrative because the only way to get attention is by making high profile fights.

Then why is he writing about it? Why not do it and show the world instead?

I like the idea of Knockout and fight of the night bonuses. Also boxing should revolutionize and start having A.I. judge fights.

Eddie Hearn drove the prices up. It included this Saudi oil money thing. And now Wilder don't want to fight unless he gets paid money local broadcasters can't afford to pay.

Interesting idea. Would be cool to view an AI generated life meter on screen. Who is it? Who knows what’s in the store for boxing and the planet if AI doesn’t kill us first

Jesus, AJ. What other former heavyweight champion ever needed 2 to 3 confidence builder fights? AJ really needs to watch Rocky III again.

Both Edward and Al share equal blame for the driving up of purses especially for mediocre fights. Both of them are to blame. And it will take both of them being very honest with fighters about the inflated purses and the sport killing “if the money is right” mentality that allows fighters to prove themselves out in order to duck good fights the fans want to see. All promotional outfits have to be on board for this to work. Pbc and dazn inflated prices in order to outbid each other and in the long run the sport is on life support in the usa for it. Young Edward isn’t lying here, he is 110% correct
