Absolutely. I responded to the other poster with a degree of analysis, but I wouldn't even compare the two on a mere boxing basis.
And, while we're at it, Holmes was indeed faded in 1988, but Michael Spinks was not. Several experts had picked him to defeat Tyson.
Mike Tyson fought four times in 1987, which included collecting the other two belts, a stay busy fight against Pinklon Thomas and the Biggs grudge match. Can you imagine if we had someone like that now?
I dont get where the money is coming from, is it all fury fans who just want to see him obliterate some MMA chump? or is it all MMA stands who really think Ngannou has a chance here? I dont get how a fight with known outcome sells so well.
As Smash said - the Saudis ....... and they don't care if they make a loss - they are promoting their brand. Right now they are at the start of a project to turn Saudi Arabia into a massive tourism venue - think Cancun (which was a fishing port before) but scaled up 20 times - the yhave to do it because oil usage will be down massively in the next 50-100 years.

They will need to disempower the hardline clerics if this is to work (which is probably part of the goal too). The Crown Prince said he would return Saudi to "moderate Islam", whatever that means in practice.

No, most people prefer shìtting on Tyson instead. Oh, well... let them keep their Furys and stuff

I think a sham democracy rather than a theocracy - something like Turkey maybe - who knows - enjoy the fights that otherwise might not get made
I really can't stop laughing at this. Go on then, who was Mike's best win? How many HOF's did he fight? How many World beltholders? I mean the guy was pure entertainment and I loved watching his fights, but come on.
Agreed, who wouldn't love watching that little wrecking ball run riot and then never knowing what might happen , even next , BUT one of the main differences here is Fury rose like the Phoenix to win fights , once Mike hit the deck he NEVER rose to win , not one fight. There seems to be so much blind hate around Fury.

That's because he didn't hit the deck very often. Characterising criticism of Fury as "blind hate" is the stuff of fanboys. Boxing fans (as opposed to hero worshippers) just want to see him fight a proper heavyweight campaign.
