It’s obvious that you don’t know the facts. Haney priced Stevenson down and out of the fight negotiations because he knew the high risk .Comment

What facts are you talking about that I don't know of?
Stevenson is not a big draw and also he even lost his belts on scale at 130 before moving to 135.
Haney is the undisputed Champion at 135 so Haney gave him 25% and when calculated to actual numbers, it is going to be Shakur's biggest payday.
Also if Stevenson doesn't like the number, he should have given a counter offer but he didn't instead he was ranting on social media.
Haney had to take ****ty money to own those belts. He had to sign to Top rank to get the fight with Kambosos, he had to take less money back to back and he had fight in Australia back to back. Once he got and defended the belt, he got a better leverage against Lomachenko. If Stevenson had took the fight and won then he could have more leverage in the rematch but instead he calculated wrong.
Another thing, if Stevenson had enforce Mandatory and the fight went to purse bid, just because both fighter are not major draw the money bid will have been small and Shakur will still get 20-25% of the money still. Even if Stevenson wants more than 25%, he should have negotiated with Wisdom. Stevenson fumbled on this one.Comment

Shakur offered Frank Martin 25%, said it was the most money he ever made, same statement Haney said about Shakur! It is what it is!

Shakur doing that also called Haney's bluff and would have made that offer real. Devin and Bill are really good at creating public narratives though.Comment

There were no numbers attached to this percentage so how do you know it would've been his highest payday? And honestly, neither guy is a draw like that. ****, Shakur is equal to if not better at live gate numbers. Haney has the belts which is leverage as much as the fighters care about the belts, but he's no Tank in this situation lol.

It was a throwaway Twitter offer, Bill and J Prince had a conversation about it where the ask was 50/50 and that was it. After that, Prince and Arum went the sanctioning body route to make it real and call the Haney's bluff, and Devin promptly moved up to 140.Comment

Martin confirmed he was offered $1 million for the fight and if that is 25% then Shakie is making a killing by getting $3 mil in a fight held on a Thursday! If you believe that, then you would likely believe anything that suits your agenda. And no one can do anything about it. It is what it is.
