But the reason I respect Jermell more than Jermall and rate him higher than Jermall is because every time Jermell has faced a set back, he has gotten better afterwards.

First loss? Knocks him out in the rematch.
Draw? Knocked the guy out in the rematch.
Lose to the best boxer on the planet? Have to wait and see how he bounces back.

No one is kicking the man because he’s down aka lost.
Every single person is merely stating the guy came to collect a paycheck AND survive to fight another payday. That’s all.

You know even the incredulous Mayorga with his trash talk and promises of beating up his opponents actually showed up to fight and fight he did. He got beat up but he never stopped trying. Mayorga was a terrible boxer just fyi

Did he really say that? I remember the whole Rios mocking him thing and all but I don’t recall Freddie saying that. If he did, that’s some phucked up shït

        Yeah. It's on video.
I think it was around the same time Ariza kicked him in the chest.

Porter is blind, doesn't he realize Charlo was ready but unfortunately Canelo prepared to be super aggressive and didn't give Charlo any chance. Anybody or everybody else would've also had too much trouble trying to fight this version of Canelo.

Jermell just showed up to collect an easy pay day and last the distance. He didn't even remotely try to win that fight or at the very least be competitive. Which was a bit disappointing for me.

He just refused to try or take any risks in the fight. Canelo didn't do much better either but at least he was the champion. So the pressure was definitely Jermell to convince the judges that he wanted it a lot more than Alvarez did but he failed to do that.

Did he go up two divisions and fight a guy like Canelo, to be honest in my view he was thinking about out during the TC fight.

Its easy for others to talk sht about a guy who came up short trying something they never did, Charlo has ****** it out at 154 with the best in the world he just knew he couldn't win and decided going to sleep wasn't a good option, I would have liked him to go balls to the wall and try to win but he didn't, I didn't like it but I cant stone him for either, is what it is and it happens in so many fights its a serious joke, very few go all out its pretty much a controlled aggression that many wind it way back when they have doubts of winning and will probably be stopped, its a rock and a hard place.

Plenty have done that, if you haven’t that’s cool but many have.

either way, Jermell usually improves after set backs. So if he does so this time as well. He Will get some respect back
