Man, the hate that Williams gets on here is unwarranted. I don't understand why people want to see him defend the title that he may win against Pavlik against lame opponents in a weak division. Hopefully all the guys at 147 and 154 will have the balls to move up and fight him because the fighters in the top 10 at 160 would get beat by most of the fighters in the top 10 of 147 and 154. Sturm is soft, and the rest of the division is horrible. Williams isn't a Lightheavyweight even though I think a Dawson-Williams fight would be intriguing somewhere down the line.

Not that myth again. In 1999 he moved up two entire weight divisions to take on the man who was rated P4P #2 at the time, and who had very recently been ranked P4P #1. To call that ducking is idiotic.

In 2006, he didn't want to get in the way of his boss at GBP, De La Hoya, who wanted a megafight with Mayweather at that time. To call that ducking is also ridiculous.

Its not a myth. Jack Mosley said that it would take 10 million for him to get in the ring with Mayweather, which was clearly an indication that they didn't want that fight in 1999. Also, when Mayweather called out Mosley in 2006, his next fight ended up being against Baldomir since Mosley wouldn't commit to the fight. The deal to fight DLH was made after that.

I don't know about **** but I've got Pavlik possibly knocking Williams out. Pavlik aint Winky Wright. He's not gonna wait for Williams to throw before throwing back. Everybody needs to see 1 Margarito v. Williams (we don't know about the loaded gloves) Margarito gave him trouble and hurt him Pavlik is bigger, stronger, hits harder and is better technically than Margarito but they bring similar styles, 2 Pavlik v. Taylor 1 Taylor landed massive bombs on Pavlik and he was down but recuporated almost immediately, he has an amazing chin Wiliams is better fundementally than Taylor but I doubt he has the power Taylor has if he cant back Pavlik up or keep him from throwing 1,2s HE WILL LOOSE. PWill has a good shot but he better stop thinking past Kelly or his career might go down with this fight.

Paul Williams forgot to mention that he would like to fight with Ivan Calderon. I understand PW about fighting the best, but he has to be more serious and concentrate and be realistic about fighting with someone. Mentioning names is not the way you challenge boxer, you have to prove that you are a real contender in your weight and go for. Fighting one day middle weight and next day other weight is not helping his career, instead is delaying the process to challenge some specific boxer in a specific weight and become a world champion in that category. If Quintana found the way and controlled Paul Williams in 12 rounds, you will find other good boxer that can do the same thing.

Margarito didn't hurt him at all. Show me where Paul was hurt in that fight. He took all those shots in stride. Hurt is not the word you are looking for. Momentarily bothered would be a better way to put it.

Yeah, Paul Williams never lost control of the fight at no time
during the whole 12 round fight. I watched it several times
and yes Margarito did get to him in the later rounds but Paul
would not pass Margarito the torch.
