The only reason Shane KO'd Margarito is cause Margs fought with his balls instead of his head and allowed Shane to stand flat footed and tee off on him for most of the fight. If he were to fight P-Will i'm more than sure Williams would opt for the Vernon Forrest method of fighting Shane due to his body type. If Shane couldn't figure it out in his prime i doubt he could now that he's at the end. Shane is smart and knows stylistically it's not a good match-up for him right now.........BUT if he was still in his prime Shane would fight anyone..anywhere..anytime..Shane always fought for greatness just to prove he was the "Sugar" of his era.

He is taking it much further he isn't breaking any rules true, but he doesn't look great even if he stops any of those smaller guys, which they are. As I have said on here, I know everyone cuts weight but he is cutting much more than anyone else. I just want fighters roughly the same size to compete against each other exclusively, I don't see what ppl are arguing with me about wanting to see fair fights.

The only reason Shane KO'd Margacheeto is because he didn't have his bricks in his hand as usual and his "style" doesn't work without them. Also, Shane ducked PBF twice, once in 1999, and again in 2006.

So you think it was unfair of Hearns to fight other Welterweights? He was the same height as Williams. Most ATG lists rank him as one of the three greatest Welterweights of all time.

And you think it was unfair of Dwight Muhammad Qawi to fight for the Light Heavyweight title when he was shorter than Pacquiao? He's ranked among the top 10 Light Heavyweights of all time by most historians.

And you think it was unfair of Tyson to fight for the Heavyweight title when he was only 1" taller than Mosley?

Vernon Forrest started at Jnr Welterweight, and he is only 1" shorter than Williams - I suppose you think that's unfair as well?

Boxing has weight classes rather than height classes for a reason.
That's why it's called Welterweight, not Welterheight. I don't understand why so many posters seem to find that so difficult to understand.

And Williams' walk around weight between fights is lower than Mosley's, Cotto's and Clottey's. It's about the same as Pacquiao's.

Not that myth again. In 1999 he moved up two entire weight divisions to take on the man who was rated P4P #2 at the time, and who had very recently been ranked P4P #1. To call that ducking is idiotic.

In 2006, he didn't want to get in the way of his boss at GBP, De La Hoya, who wanted a megafight with Mayweather at that time. To call that ducking is also ridiculous.

People have no reason to dislike this guy. He is taking on any name that comes to him. He will get his just due if he gets past Pavlik. That will make him a star.
