Yeah that something is the other side pulls out and says they don't wanna fight him for one reason or another.
Has Shakur Stevenson fought anyone significant yet?

Seems like OP just hates Shakur and as a result, nobody will ever count as significant.
"He needs to fight Haney". Shakur beats Haney. "Haney was overrated and lost to Loma. Who has he beaten."
"He needs to fight Loma". Beats Loma. "Loma has lost 3 times. He's past his best."
"He needs to fight Tank". Beats Tank. "Tank never fought anyone real. He's only got one legit world title, and had been ducking the top guys his whole career."
"He needs to fight Lopez." Beats Lopez. "Lopez lost to that bum Kambosos, and is very inconsistent. He was having an off night."
Any of the upcoming contenders like Zepeda, etc, the narrative will be that they weren't in their prime.
I'm not convinced Shakur wins all of those fights, and I'm quite sure most of them won't happen because he's too dangerous. But if you hate a guy, there's always a way to minimize his accomplishments, and boxing "fans" are notorious for moving the goalposts. Look at Canelo/Mayweather/Pacman haters.

He hasn't really. He's fought two champions, Isaac Dogboe and Valdez. Got dropped by Dogboe and Wilson. Shakur has never been dropped. Navarrete has been behind on the scorecards, only beating Ruben Villa with a close decision despite two knockdowns, and being behind on the cards against Baez and probably Wilson also. Shakur rarely loses more than a couple rounds, and has completely shut his opponents out on many occasions. It's possible that Navarrete has lost more rounds in one or two fights than Shakur has in his entire career. I think Shakur may have only lost around 6 rounds in his entire career if memory serves.
Navarrete is still well acclaimed, but there's a reason he's not viewed the same way as Shakur, despite having more power.Comment
