The weight will be a factor. Once the strength and weight is felt now the fighter has to over compensate and feel the pressure. That disrupts any plans and gets a fighter more tired. Plus lighter fighters tend to try to swing harder making things worst.
I rather Crawford not go to 168 and I am still interested in a Charlo fight or the winner of Tim/Mendoza.Comment

Styles make fights and its a bad style match up for Crawford. Tall, rangey southpaw with power, will be hard to counterpunch. Canelo, flatfooted and same height as crawford so crawford shouldnt have too much trouble finding the target atleast.Comment

Crawford/Charlo is not an interesting fight now. May as well move up to 168 and get that $$. Crawford did all he could do at these lower weights. He is 36 years old and not getting any younger. Forget about the "0" as Floyd already has the 50-0 mark. I say cash out.Comment

I agree. The Canelo fight really took a lot of shine off a Charlo-Crawford fight, but unifying the 154lb belts by beating Charlo and the Tszyu/Mendoza winner is still a historic accomplishment, and one that is far more doable than moving up to beat Canelo. Crawford is great, but some people are confusing him with Floyd. While he may be as skilled a fighter as Floyd, his style isn't nearly as well suited to beating a fighter like Canelo.Last edited by Rockenator; 10-10-2023, 01:18 PM.Comment
