Nah, looks like eddie hearn was begging Skills Challenge and Saudi Arabia for a payday. Now all those "will happen"'s and "definitely happening" are just more egg on his face and feet in his mouth.

AJ should just go ahead and fight the rubber match with Ruiz. Wilder too should fight Ruiz. I'd like to see Joshua fight Charles Martin again too .... Martin would come in as a beast for that fight. He wants his revenge. or at least a shot at revenge. Joshua has a window of about a year where can fight Fury and fans will still care. Either of them can take a chance with Zhang (who is as old as they are), Big Baby Miller, Joseph Parker, Hunter, or Whyte are proper fights for entertainment. The Championship window is almost closed forever for these guys. Fury and Usyk have the belts and they will linger for a bit. But neither is gonna fight all these younger guys coming up. Lots of interesting fights are there if they make the fights in the next year to eighteen months, but the window for a championship is rapidly closing for the older guys that don't already have one (sadly).

After that the next era of HW's will be the prime-timers. Sanchez, Hrgovic, Makmouda, Wallin, Ajagba, Ruiz is still in this group due to his age. Bakole, Makhmudov, Jalolov, Kabayel, Dubois, Pero, ... these guys will be battling for the next King of the Hill. With one or two surprise guys getting in the mix also.

        Ton of Hearn hate here....

On a separate thought, I do hope Joshua fights in December, even if it is a scrub. 2 reasons:
-He needs the work. He still does not look sharp.
-I still feel any activity is better than none. Joshua may be the underdog to Wilder, but he will have 4 fights if he does one in December to Wilder's one round, and I like that for Joshua.

As for this fight, I do know it is large money for everyone if it is in the UK. Maybe not Usyk-Fury Saudi money, but one of the last big paychecks out there. It will get done if both fighters and their teams accept they are better off with the cash bird in hand than chasing the 2 golden birds in that bush.

The problem Is here is they were expecting Saudi money

Even if they can get good money in the UK, and still better money than they can get elsewhere at this very moment, its still hard to get a fighter back on board when they expected 40 mil and now they might get 10 or something.

there's a lot of ego in boxers and their teams and they may not stay on board for a fight for a fraction of what they expected.

they're more likely to wait it out and see if they can somehow get a fight in Saudi at a later date, or somewhere else that can pay them more than they'll get in the UK

And Team Wilder were begging Eddie to cut them in on it.

Maybe Shelly Finkel and Uncle Al will step up now and blow that Saudi money out of the water with a monster offer for AJ to fight Wilder on Showtime PPV.

              Or maybe they won't.
