Fury has problems with anyone who isn't a shorter plodder like Chisora and Whyte but still, Fury had a severe injury and had to improvise and still managed to win the fight quite clearly. Despite his coach telling him otherwise. It was a good win for Fury but I agree, if it wasn't such a potential upset, they would have stopped the fight due to the cut.
Gassiev looked bad because Otto made him look bad or because he was not focused and had some problems that we do not know. Injury etc...But time will tell did he had a bad day or he will always look bad vs good HW contenders.

I'm not sure that Wallin is still with Salita. I saw something over the summer that there was a lawsuit between the two of them and referenced the promotional agreement in the past tense.

I always felt like Salita struggled to get Wallin fights after Fury. Salita can only get his fighters big fights as the "B-side" and the Swede was a bit too dangerous as an opponent (durable southpaw who can box). In my opinion, Franklin got the Whyte and AJ fights because he was viewed as less of a risk than Wallin.

Wallin, is a big, durable southpaw with some boxing skills. He throws mostly pitty-pat punches but can occasionally slip in something hard like that hook that hurt Gassiev in the 6th. He landed at will on Breazeale but never looked like he was close to getting him out.

He's not terribly exciting but I think he will be a tough matchup for many other fighters.

Gassiev fought like he was blindfolded . Lol

Wallin directed him anywhere he wanted at any time with simple angle shifts behind the long reach , Gassiev was so bad it looked like Wallin could have put his lead hand on Gassievs forehead and just stand there while Gassiev would still miss him most the time but if you’ve watched how he hits things in training you’re see why they should keep him far away from fighters with good footwork from here on in .

Not buying it that Wallin made Gassiev look bad. He was bad. Wallin looks clumsy and one dimensional as hell. And yet Gassiev could not think of cutting the ring off and slipping those never ending jabs. Complete failure from Gassiev.

Wallin must stay busy and no more trial horses. If he can`t get top 10 guys, then he should call oz Kabayel, Ajagba, Bakole, Takam, Demirezen..

I agree about the less risk point. Thanks for the info. I thought he was still with Salita. Makes sense why we are not getting those weekly articles from Salita that Wallin is in the mix for a potential fight…
