Wallin is such a weird guy. 90% of his punches are right jabs/check hooks and they seem to carry no power at all. His left straight is also just a jab. Ne never goes to the body and never commits to his punches. Even his footwork looks so awkward with those constant little straight legged steps but he’s not on his toes, the feet are constantly flat on the ground. He looks like anyone should be able to knock him out but somehow he nullifies his opposition nevertheless.
He landed on Gassiev more than Joyce landed on Dubois and Gassiev looked like he walked out of a beauty salon at the end of it. No signs of battle whatsoever.
Gassiev has nothing to offer the HW division. He changed nothing and tried nothing besides walk obediently to Wallin’s jabs and check hooks all night long. He has put on no size and his power punches carry no weight to hurt HWs. He’s done. He didn’t even throw when he got inside against a guy who doesn’t even tie him up. Bizarre to watch. He did a good impersonation of Manuel Charr walking in a straight line and doing nothing once in range.
Wallin though will hopefully move on to better things. I still think someone like pre covid Povetkin would K him O quickly as he is so predicable and his jab has no power. Once he faces someone who slips jabs and cuts off his way out of the corners he will look like a beginner. Kinda like Gassiev looked in this fight. ”All-in” is such a misleading nickname too as he has never thrown a punch full force and makes the Klitschko style look like Kamikaze in comparison. It will be interesting to see though if Wallin keeps winning despite his fights always looking like sparring.JakeTheBoxer likes this.

He broke his arcade, and if it wasn't Fury they would have stopped the match and Otto would have won.
It seems that now he will be ranked 2nd on the IBF ranking.Last edited by James; 10-01-2023, 02:33 AM.

Fury has problems with anyone who isn't a shorter plodder like Chisora and Whyte but still, Fury had a severe injury and had to improvise and still managed to win the fight quite clearly. Despite his coach telling him otherwise. It was a good win for Fury but I agree, if it wasn't such a potential upset, they would have stopped the fight due to the cut.

Gassiev`s power had no effect.
