He's in the same position Devin Haney was in a couple years ago - high risk, low reward.

And Devin Haney is pretty unlikable. I think Shakur can get to where he wants to get to, he just needs to stay the course.

As for Inoue, Manny became the face of boxing so I don't see a reason why he couldn't do the same providing he keeps moving up in weight and knocking people out.

Shakur could become the next Floyd although I wouldn't be surprised if he followed in the footsteps of his mentors Crawford+Ward and WASN'T a huge PPV draw.
Tank is good fighter but like I said, he throws too less punches. Garcia outlanded and arguably outboxed him before two KDs.

Shakur would box safely in long range and UD him. Haney can UD him as well but it's 50/50 fight. Well-trained Loma beats Tank as well. He outboxed Haney and got robbed.

After Canelo, most smartly attempt would be Shakur. Even fans don't like his style, they gotta bet their money for Shakur. He has some ATG level skillset.

Yeah Shakur would probably box the hell out of him although Tank won't be intimidated by his lack of power and is extremely quick and nimble so SHOULD be able to tag him far more than any other opponent has ever done. He has iron fists too and Shakur's chin is still untested. Still, I think that Shakur will probably just dance circles around him all night long.

Another fighter I believe has an extremely high skillset after Shakur is Boots Ennis although he needs to face a REAL test but so far the signs are very encouraging.

Boots is more like based on athleticism. Shakur has better fundamentals.

Boots can beat Crawford btw. That's why Crawford doesn't wanna retain his belts and ducking him. He is more athletic than Crawford.

Shakur was given an offer to fight for undisputed. How is that being avoided? Benavidez is being ducked by the alleged greatest fighter of his generation. That takes the cake for being avoided.

All this avoided talk makes me really glad that Inoue managed to get to the stage where he can get title and unification matches set up. First 15 matches of his career between two weight classes he only got to fight for two individual belts, but then in 9 matches at bantam he got undisputed 4 belts. Then the first matches he got another 2 belts and will likely go undisputed again with his next match.

Of course the opponents being unified already was a lucky thing, but still. I don't see him struggling to get title matches up in feather either.

                  is he really?

                  navarette wants to fight him

frank martin was obviously advised not to fight him for whatever business reason we are not aware of

you could argue bivol, benavidez, are more avoided

Shakur is definitely the better fighter but Boots has great fundamentals too in addition to his athleticism i.e. ring IQ, range, timing & power. I think he’s going to be a REAL problem @ 147 and would’ve given Crawford a far tougher fight than Spence and POSSIBLY beaten him.

Benavidez got punked by the Cuban Morrell who IMO would beat him. He knows he's to close to a Canelo fight so ain't risking that.
