Boxing is a business. Even after the win Bivol is still not a draw and not worth more than what he got in the first fight.
Canelo wants the rematch but doesn’t need it. The loss didn’t hurt him at all. He was a free agent and PBC and Hearn offered a $100 million plus for his services.
Meanwhile Bivol took short money for his last fight and is struggling to find his next opponent.
Bivol had no leverage because he had no other options. He got the offer and didn’t except it which is his right but now he is where he is.

I never expected Canelo to actually rematch Bivol, it would have been ******. Instead, he just pretended he would to try to save face. He got beat embarrassingly bad, and it would have been even worse if he tried it again, and he always knew it.

Always enjoyed watching Fury fight and he is a character, good for the sport especially considering the state of boxing these days. That said, his recent interviews are silly and he needs to fight Usyk or vacate. The difference being that I believe Fury is too big and too good for anyone including Usyk, but he needs to respect the sport and move on and do exhibitions for paydays if he isn't going to fight Usyk.

I am 99% certain we will get Fury Usyk next year. Both guys waiting for Saudi money.

Difference between Canelo and Fury.....if Fury was challenging cruiserweights and light heavy's and claiming greatness, it would be worse. Fury is outright saying, I am here for the money, apart from that, whatever. I can appreciate that honesty, but if he means it....which he doesn't, he is playing the bad guy and just goading fans to hate him so they will watch his fights in the hope he gets knocked out......but if he is seriously not worried about fighting for the belts, just vacate.

I see some guys talking about money, this is a business but you are really wrong about this if you think it is about money.

Canelo would have made more money too by fighting Bivol, he just found an easy way out of a big A Whooping and probably his first defeat by KO.

Canelo knows he cannot win against anyone who isn't a B fighter and never fights in equal conditions with anyone.

Bivol is and will remain Clenelos' daddy forever.

Fighting Canelo is always good from a business side. But from a sporting side it is clearly a risk. Look at the scoring in the Floyd fight. Look at the scoring in the first Bivol fight. Every damn judge had him winning the 1st 5 rounds when every boxing fan, even a complete casual, can see there is NO WAY that he won the first 5 rounds.

So when you are the clear A side and you WANT a fight then you can make it happen. Do we really think that Bivol was making unfair demands? Most likely just asking for a fairer deal. But Canelo had no confidence in winning the fight. He didn't really WANT the fight.

Lets face it, he can make as much or more money fighting Jermell. Where is the bigger risk? - an elite LHW who has already outclassed you once, or an elite LMW who is coming up 2 divisions to meet you at your preferred weight.
Let's not act like EVERYONE takes the challenges Canelo takes! Has Bivol fought outside the 175lb. Division? Bivol can't even get a fight with Beterbiev! He should've accepted the Canelo deal, unless he had a better deal! He did NOT, and now he has what? Bad business decision...period!

That's why he said that he really didn't care about the rematch unless Cinnabon put his belts on the line or offered something monetary that he couldn't refuse. Canelo didn't do either.
Good for Bivol! I'm sure he's happy! His legacy is secured, by beating Canelo @ 175! He's 32 years old with 21 fights! I guess he can retire now!

That's all it takes is one win over Canelo, and a he's ATG, and HOF Light Heavyweight? WOW!

Fact's! Canelo act's like he was trying to do Bivol a favor, his arrogant stance on Bivol getting the same deal as the first time around makes him look like a pig.
Bivol slapped him all over the ring, and Canelo put on a bull**** show starring himself, in which he made it look like he wanted to get revenge.
When in fact he really didn't want to get beaten up again, and receive an even worse beating the second time around.
So he's going after the smaller champions now, so he can bully them around the ring, like Bivol did to him.

Fact's! Keep spitting it raw, I can't wait to see Canelo get that arrogance knocked out of him once, and for all!
He is a great fighter, but he's become such a jerk to so many other's that he needs to be shown what it feels like to be treated that way himself!
