Typical Canelo. Lara arguably beat him, no rematch, got his W and ran.

GGG won their second fight, Canelo got his gift W, and he didn't want a third fight until GGG was in his 40s.

Bivol took him to school and never truly wanted to avenge it.

people always compare Floyd and Canelo, and Floyd may have been selective at times, but he had no problem jumping in with Maidana and Castillo again when people doubted the victory. He could have taken those W's and ran with it, but he wanted to prove he could beat them outright. I truly believe Floyd would've tried to avenge an official loss because of that mentality.

Canelo isnt cut from that cloth. He got a dose of reality that Bivol is just too good for him and didn't want that humiliation again.

He sent a bogus offer, Bivol's team wanted to negotiate and Canelo walked away without even hearing them out.

He's a millionaire, and has a win over Canelo. Life is good for Bivol, whether he fights Canelo again, or not.

Didn't read the article but from the comments, I can safely assume that it's all bs from Nelo... It's clear that Nelo is avoiding another humiliating beatdown from Bivol...

Canelo is a business man seeking greatness. Next after Charlo (!) he will be making Crawford put on 19 pounds for a SMW title shot. And because he's the A side, Crawford should take
20% and like it. Now that's greatness and legacy for sure.

Do you understand the business of boxing? That is a horrible take on this situation. Canelo is the draw, sells the tickets, puts butts in the seats, attracts sponsors, generates ancillary cash from vendors. Bivol has ZERO leverage, ZERO Marketability, boring, hence the state of his career after Canelo walked. Nobody knows who he is.

When guys like Canelo, even though a great fighter, is put on a pedestal by the boxing world, he can still ask for more than the guy who beat him because he is the "draw." This should be evened out.

8 sea shells, 3 beaver pelt and a gift certificate to Hungry Howie's. It's a career high, I just don't know why Bivol didn't take it? The only thing I can think of is that Bivol was afraid because people kick ass for those Hungry Howie's gift certificates like they did Popeye's ****y Chicken Sandwich. Besides that....Canelo doesn't need Bivol or anyone in his weight class or even the next weight class lower, he'll just pick a tall guy from 2 weight-classes lower.

Not a Canelo fan but you can't blame Canelo for this one.

The guy taking the lesser money is the one ducking.

It doesn't take a business degree to know Canelo never tried to negotiate with Bivol or try to fight anyone at 168 that might be difficult because like Tyson Fury, Canelo has a cult following of suckers that will pay to watch him fight dandruff....as long as it's not Mexican dandruff.
