Out of the fighters we're supposed to be taking seriously, I can't think of anyone whos said more dumb s--t this year than this guy.

You dont love the sport.
You want to retire at the point where most fighters are just hitting their prime.
He talks about boxing as if its beneath him.
You only want the money not the glory, accomplishments and lasting legacy that comes with them.

HW is a bad division, if you are not a world champ, you are nowhere. I have a feeling he believes he is some Gervonta Davis of hw division and that he can make millions without having any true belt. Won`t happen.

He is right in a way - you don't need to be a champion in order to have a good resume (i.e. fighting top opponents), but this is only valid until the moment you become the mandatory for a title shot and eventually winning it.

Championship fights are a thing because they bring in a lot of money =---> champion fights sell. If he want big bucks, he needs belts. If he's crowing about belts, he must feel he's not good enough to get them and the best fighters in the division have them.

He's a nobody, it would be different if he had a following like Ryan Garcia, but nobody knows this guy. He's about to get knocked out soon enough and then he'll be yesterdays news.
