I've defended his position before but now it is getting weird.

If he keeps winning, it won’t matter what anyone thinks about his attitude.

Actually he doesn’t even have to keep winning. He just has to stay active, entertaining and relevant.

That Charles Martin fight has him rethinking about staying pro. At least make 1-2 huge paydays and call it quits. Top Rank built this guy for nothing

All this talk lately is the complete opposite of what he said last year. Last year, he was already the best at the weight. Now, reality seems to have hit.

Sadly this is not just in boxing but life in general. Let's take the Heavyweight Division for example the Fury v Nagannou fight is a joke but it's the Saudis money why this is happening. Again in the heavyweights they are over paid that's why they fight once or maybe twice a year with rematch clauses and it holds other fighters careers up that's why it's bad to have a unified champion in the modern era. Most boxing fans who have come into the sport in the last 10 - 15 years really are not true boxing fans who just mumble off alot of trash, I prove my point the pay per view will be a sell out, but instead of protesting about ths joke of a fight.
100%. Titles are at an all time low in value & importance. Tank is one of the biggest names in the game & he doesn't have a legit belt. Canelo did that 155lb Caneloweight for awhile several yrs ago. Jake Paul isn't even fighting legit boxers, except for Tommy Fury, & he does better PPV numbers than only a couple of legit boxers.

And for the opposite...look around. There are numerous incredible boxers that get little attention & make little money despite having a belt or not. Ultimately boxing is a ticket selling, PPV buys & appealing to fans, hardcore & more importantly casuals, business than its a sport trying to find out who's the best at boxing.

He has said similar previous to the Charles Martin fight.

It's not a bad perspective from Anderson.
He's being upfront and mature about it.

This mindset is not good for longevity in this sport
but then again he doesn't want to stick around for long anyway.

Time will tell if he can walk away from fighting.
All those millions will be hard to just walk away from.

In fairness to him ppl keep asking him about it cuz its such a non-boxer way of thinking. So he's gonna answer ppl's questions.

I think getting in, getting paid & getting out should be the goal for EVERY boxer myself. This isn't a sport you wanna continue in when you already made millions. Getting hit in the head is obviously not a good thing to be going through. So I'm rooting for him to get paid & retire.

That said I think Jared is a young cat who's got a lot of attention on himself & he's thinking now not 4yrs from now reallllllllllllly. For a simple example if he's got $5M in net worth at age 27 & he gets thrown some $7M fight I find it very hard to believe he'll still walk away. Maybe I'll be shown to be incorrect if Jared has that sort of success, but I think that'll be a level of temptation Jared can't grasp right now. Also do ppl forget when ODLH said he was gonna retire at 30 numerous times back in the day when he was young. To me this will work out similarly.

Exactly. I don't think fans are considering this largely & I doubt Jared can really put himself in a position to think about the type of money that could be in play. If he has $2M & gets offered $5M to fight after his 27th birthday does he turn that down? Sheeeeet what if things don't go as expected & he's got $100k at 27 & gets offered $100k for a fight? There's a million scenarios & a boxer predicting his retirement age has a horrible success rate. So I'd bet the over all day Jared has his last fight at 27. But I'd love to see him do exactly as he's planning cuz I think more guys should retire too early rather than too late as is more typical.
