Never an argument from me about judging the judges. That should be a standard thing.
I'm not opposed to more judges scoring, but I think a legit hole with scoring is judges don't have an ideal view at all times. In the UFC judges are ringside as usual but they also have a monitor to watch for better views of the action when its at a bad angle for them. And the UFC has far fewer sketchy cards than boxing. It's not something that cures bad judging, but I believe its a way to give good judges more tools to score well & less excuses for bad judges to claim for their sh^tty cards.Comment

1. Why not have a Point system. Point for winning a rd. Point for a KD. If its a draw rd its 0 to 0. If a guy loses a Point its taken away from his final score if he didn't win any Points you add one to his opp. Super easy system & much easier for them to add up at the end.
4. Agree penalties should be brought up sooner, regardless of the A/B side situation. And points taken sooner too. And I'd like to see it not so dramatic. The whole put the other guy in the corner & walk the offender to the middle & say to each judge whats up. I'd just like to see the ref pull out a card with the color corner of the offender & verbally say it to the boxers & then make sure its noted by whoever is tabulating the scores at the end. Lets keep the action moving.
2. Fully agree! Stiff arms, pushing down the head, rabbit punches (not caused by other fighter bending at that moment), excessive holding, excessive running, low blows, etc. should all be included. Then ypu just have to define some of those things and determine standard courses of action.Comment

That's just it If you really know boxing and you really knew boxing Floyd would not be boring to you. You would love watching him. How many damn times I got to educate you guys on how to be real boxing fans but until you have it in your blood you're never going to be able to experience that. Please don't say you thought Floyd was a boring boxer anymore on boxing pages because that gives it all away about you like ASAP. But hey you folks need to realize there's nothing wrong with being an MMA/UFC groupie. This is just the wrong site to be hanging around when you're one of those.
What music do you like? I need to experience it the way you do or I wont really get it. How bout basketball? Is it ok if I like watching the giant 7 footers more than the guards?
My whole point was actually about Moretti. That was 7 months ago.Last edited by Wacked_Out; 04-11-2024, 08:19 PM.Comment

I have no problem with your solution. Sounds reasonable. In fact the more I think about it, why not. And use at least 1 AI judge that can figure velocity and power of the punches as well as # of punches landed. Compubox is just some people pressing buttons and is BS.Last edited by Wacked_Out; 04-11-2024, 08:03 PM.Comment
