uysk was dropped by a body shot from beterbiev as well. I've also seen him freeze up after taking some body shots in other fights. dubois landed several other body shots that had uysk looking to the ref for help LMAO!

Off the top of my head, Golovkin and Kovalev (before he was shot) had good chins but could be hurt to the body. It's hard to say why. You have to imagine that all top fighters do core strengthening exercises and other things designed to help them take body shots, so maybe body type and genetics.

Could be that all 3 are excellent at keeping opponents on the outside. GGG and Kov had A+ jabs to maintain distance and big power if somebody got past that. Usyk has always had great footwork and would never let himself be on the ropes where somebody could open up to the body. So it could be that throughout their amateur and early pro careers they just never got hit that much to the body to get used to it enough.

I recently rewatched the Robinson vs Gatti fights. Beforehand Robinson said he had a secret technique that meant he couldn't be hurt to the body. Gatti landed some big body shots on him, but Robinson didn't seen hurt once. After the fight he declined to reveal his secret but for sure Usyk should call him and try find out.

If you get hit with a body shot by a 17 stone HW you’re gonna feel the effects.

Great observation! You are right. Usyk can take a good head shot because he moves his head a lot but he appears to be very tender to the body which he cannot move.

He doesn't like to get hit there. He complained to the referee each and every time Dubois landed a legit and solid punch to his body.

He can be hurt to the body just like every human on earth can.
Does he have a 'glass body' absolutely not. He has fought a whole string of massive punchers who have tried to target the body and handled them all absolutely fine from Gassiev through to AJ.

I've seen him take vicious shots from monster punchers such as Gassiev, AJ, Dubois, Briedis etc to the body and he has taken them all fine except a few either clearly low or bordering shots. Sure Beterbiev dropped him from a legit bodyshot many moons ago.

He has had 300+ fights mostly at elite level I think we'd have discovered he couldn't take bodyshots well a long time before now if true.

The only legitimate time (in my eyes) he has been dropped is by Beterbiev.

Majidov dropped him from a bodyshot also & it was ruled but that was low
