Floyd said was his strategy was to clinch in close range. Don't think Crawford was about that. Nice he still would offer a rematch thou.

Please explain how that type of fight is pointless?

It looks like you wanted Manny to win, he lost very wide on the cards, as a result you are downplaying the significance because you didnt get the outcome you hoped for.
Had Manny beaten Floyd, I would still be saying the fight was pointless. Again, they were past their prime and that is the one and only reason why. Tank vs Haney/Loma, Fury vs Usyk, Beterbiev vs Bivol - yes, all those fights would be determining the best in their class of this generation RIGHT NOW. If they marinate any of these fights for years, they will not be as defining.

Age 38 and Age 36 after a huge KO. But yeah, from a financial point - yes, very significant fight

Being passed prime doesn’t lessen the significance of the fight anymore than Ali and Frazier being past prime lessens the Thrilla in Manilla.

Fair point. But that is because they may not be the top guys at that point.

Age 36 and got kod because he wouldnt take the fight earlier.

It seems as soon as Manny lost, suddenly the fight wasnt big anymore.

No the reality is Floyd was past his prime and Manny was an already ko'd, shopworn fighter.

Had Floyd just fought and beat these guys when they were in their prime these threads would never come up

You need to get over this Floyd-Pac thing man. It’s nearly a decade on now.

Yawn. Youre just a sore loser. Both with Shane and Manny.

Get over the losses and move on. It’s embarrassing to watch.

                      I didn't lose anything.

                      You actually said this crap

You just sat here and tried to compare Floyd/Manny two guys by the time they fought 1 fight, Ali/Frazier fought a trilogy. Ali didn't say he feared for his health like your boy did. Those guys was thumping hard all three fights while Floyd was running and hugging. With his pops of all people telling him he was fighting scared.

An utter embarrassment to say the least.

Your boy is risk adverse that's why he was scared to go for ko's.

He was even too scared to risk it against Marquez a lightweight he welched on the scales.

Hell he didn't want to risk it against that shopworn c fighter Andre Berto, but put a 120 lb Japanese kickerboxer in front of him and he turns into hit man Hearns
