Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Cannot Believe How Highly People Rate Wilder, He's Never Beaten a Top-Five Foe

In his current state, I think AJ isn't any better than Ortiz and Fury. As limited as Wilder is, he just needs you to forget you are in a fight for a couple of seconds. I'm going to go on a limb and say Fury has better punch resistance AJ and Ortiz?
One of the biggest misperceptions is he needs full extension on the right.

Povetkin tested positive the week before the fight (He flew to Russia for that fight)
Usyk didn't want the fight
Ruiz didn't want the fight
Joshua didn't take a $50 Mil guarantee.
Who did he miss that actually wanted to fight him? Anyone I could think of that was decent later tested positive for a banned substance.

That said, Joshua's on his feet isn't he? No need to exaggerate.

Those wins don't look better due to age? Remind me how old Ortiz was? You cannot criticize Povetkin or Klitschko for age, but claim Ortiz is a more impressive win. If I remember correctly Ortiz supposedly needed blood pressure medication, so is he in better physical condition than Klitschko? I don't think so.
My argument is simple Ortiz as professional and amateur has never accomplished anything outside of being second best, this isn't the case for Povetkin and Klitschko. Furthermore, I could think Wach beats Ortiz but it doesn't make it reality. I'd take AJ over Ortiz because the latters durability is declining and he has a tendency to walk onto heavy shots.

He still ducked the Klitschko bros, Andy, and Fury was a cherry pick gone wrong.
