WBC does their 99 year lease, "fight whomever" ... and the WBA doesn't care who's champ, they just make more belts. By now everyone on the planet knows that promoters, managers, networks and sanctioning bodies work together to steal, I mean earn, money from the fighters. So what's up with the WBO?
I'm not a conspiracy guy but why would the WBO force a mandatory when they can get a percentage of the Canelo cash and Charlo vs Crawford/Tim at 154? It can't be about about mandatory because nobody enforces rules anymore. Mandatory isn't actually mandatory, it's more like a future promise to keep everyone in the deposit line. Collecting millions for doing nothing is a business and taking Charlo's belt doesn't seem to be good business. What am I missing?
Tim Tzyu fought Tony Harrison in a 20,000-seat arena - that's what you're missing.
Charlo is not a PPV-selling guy. He's popular and has a big promoter, but his purse in the Castano rematch was one million dollars.
$1,000,000 *.03 = $30k. When dude is fighting once a year.... that's not very much money. Not enough to get you out of all your obligations. By comparison, when Canelo fights, he cuts them a check for over half a million bucks.
Tzyu is becoming a big draw in Australia. Has a famous name. TV networks in America like him. If he gets a title and fights two or three bums in a year, that's more money in the WBO's pocket than Charlo's putting in.
So both guys have their teams go to the WBO and advocate for this and that, and they want to keep both guys happen, but because Charlo isn't bringing them a lot of money, the rules say he should be stripped, AND the guy that's going to take his belt will bring them similar or better money, they're going to go ahead and strip him.
If Charlo was a real champ, he wouldn't want to hold his belts hostage while he goes to other divisions. He wouldn't wanna hold his belts hostage while he's inactive for years. A true champ wouldn't even feel like a champ if he wasn't fighting ppl and defending his belts. How long can a belt belong to a champ if they don't fight no one and defend the crown? These new age champs are fu.king chumps
They’re giving Tsyzu the belt. He’s a email paper champion now. If Charlo wins he should throw the WBO belt outside the ring. If the Tsyzu fight happens he should also refuse the WBO belt. Isn’t WBO same organization who sued PBC? Let’s see Lublin vs Tsyzu next for the title.

If Tsyzu was a real champion he wouldn’t accept a belt without winning it. Wouldn’t even feel
like a champ if he didn’t beat anyone to earn the belt. How long can a belt belong to a champ if they didn’t really step in the ring to win it? These new age champs are fu.king chumps.
Absolutely fair. What's not fair is how the WBC and WBA behave. WBO actually enforces its rules. Can't fault him for wanting the payday, but you ducked your mandatory. That's how this works. Benavidez isn't next for Canelo either. Next mandatory up is almost certainly Morrell. Amazing how many people don't understand mandatory rotations or that the WBC is the least likely organization to enforce a mandatory obligation on Canelo. If Benavidez actually wanted to fight Canelo, he could have not dropped his belt (twice), or he could seek mandatory position with an organization that actually enforces its rules. He could have fought Ryder to take his mandatory slot, or requested that the fight against Plant be considered an IBF title eliminator. Funny how he didn't do that...
Amazing how people think that the WBO is the joke, not the guy repeatedly ducking his mandatory and holding up the division for more than a year.

He's been calling for Charlo for a long time. He's defended his interim belt in the meantime. If Charlo won't get in the ring with him, then the "champ" is running scared. Facts are that one guy is defending his belt, and the other guy isn't. Who is the real champ? The guy who defends his belt in the ring, or the one running from the fight?
Big difference in how WBO treats Jermell, in comparison to how the WBC treats Jermall! I don't have a problem with WBO decision, but I do have a problem with the WBC!
