Doesn't matter what either of them wanted.

It was an ordered fight by the WBC. If they couldn't agree it would go to purse bids and then they could decide if they still wanted to fight.

All of which tells you that no-one was ever making this fight. Not the WBC, not Wilder, not Ruiz.

It never existed. It's a non-fight. The whole thing is fake from the WBC.

I think this mess has more to do with their titlist. I mean, if they actually ordered a mandatory then they'd have to strip Fury because he's fighting a non-boxer.

The way things are now, they can give him permission to fight Ngannou . It's not like he has a mandatory. And of course it's not Fury or the WBC's fault that he's not fighting a titlist, contender or a mandatory. That's all down to Usyk, Joshua, Zhang, Ruiz, Wilder... and so on.

They are not some international regulatory bodies but organizations that make money off boxing because they provide some sort of rankings and a token belt to fight for. They can change the rules to suit their profitability and associate themselves with big fights. You're acting like you just started watching boxing yesterday.

To get some rounds in before the AJ fight. These guys because they are American and might be known to local audience as compared to some Brit.

It cuts boths ways. If Ruiz doesn't fight, his cut of nothing is also nothing.

You're right that Wilder has earned his money. Once again, this can be viewed both ways. He doesn't need to be grubbing for that extra 10%. Team Ruiz were saying they wanted 50%. Wilder wanted a much bigger cut. I'd like to think there is a compromise amount that would allow both of them to earn some good money.

Both are far too inactive and the situation is exacerbated by the WBC using their inactivity as an excuse letting Fury mess about and not defend his title.

How often do you see an ordered fight not proceed to purse bids when both fighters are claiming to want the fight?

It's not an everyday occurrence. It's a very unusual situation.

Agree. Think wilder would’ve compromised 65/35 if Andy would’ve asked, and honestly comparing their PPV and gate success, that’s all he deserves. I disagree on wilder, or any fighter for that matter, taking less than they deserve just for the sake of fighting. They all work extremely hard to achieve the top echelon in a very dangerous sport and should make as much $$ as possible. Nothing is promised in boxing.
