Mayweather is not a sitting target nor does him come to the fight with one game plan.

Spence was not showing any lateral boxing movement vs. Crawford like he did in that fight…he was face first come forward with bad timing like the first half of Brook fight when he had a long layoff. His eyes also looked nonexistant even in the dressing room right before the fight.

Stop with excuses for spence.
best way to compare them is based off them both being on top at 35 years old at their peaks .
Floyd fights off the front foot in a high guard vs southpaws , both are tremendous fighters in the pocket .
This would be floyds toughest fight ever . Crawfords talent and skill and speed is in par with floyd . Crawford has more power and in both hands .
This is as 50 50 as it gets
10-2 9-3 victory for Mayweather. Makes it look easy…too much speed too much IQ. You will NEVER beat Floyd at his own game. Crawford would be down going into late rounds and praying to land a huge knockout punch. Floyd is the type of guy you NEED to go after and get, this isn’t Crawford’s style.

Floyd really needed his excessive holding and clinching to use that defensive style. But he can't do that against Crawford who was a state level wrestler, and would control that part very easily. And post Zab, Floyd was such a defensive fighter. Floyds tactics mayve not beaten a prime pac, cotto, or mosley.
Crawford? We have seen how damned accurate he is and stance switching, and power shot from any position. I think he would beat up Floyd.
Floyd had close fights, and lack luster fights. Crawford has destroyed pretty much everyone he has fought.
Crawford does one thing better than any fighter I have ever seen. The way he punches down is incredible. Dipping fighters are so tough to hit crawford is a master at it. He's kinda a master at defusing that kinda elusive movement fighters try to use
And how does Floyd clinch with Crawford is so good at controlling the body with his wrestling backgroud.
Think Crawford might even destroy Floyd.
And we know Floyd didnt want to fight some fighters in their prime, or maybe the biggest WWs, while Crawford would fight absolutely anyone in his division. Floyd was put on ***** street by the ghost of Mosley. Crawford would straight up KO himLast edited by Bostonfear; 08-05-2023, 08:01 PM.Comment

Floyd fought much better competition including canelo who he schooled. Would bud beat canelo? He already said he wouldn’t take fight “there are wright classes for a reason”. It’s an interesting fight but Floyd has faced MUCH better competition throughout his career from 135 to 160. Crawford is great and the best fighter around atm but this is a bit of a shallow era.Comment
