Brook really had that Crawford fight in the bag, all he had to do was constantly pivoting on the outside of Crawford’s lead right/foot and not being overcommitted/anxious of constantly throwing that telegraph lead straight right which Crawford eventually set him up by shifting inside of Brook’s lead foot and that was all she wrote. Brook fought a perfect fight up until that moment. To me, that fight to this day really sealed it for me that a decent counter-punching Orthodox who isn’t overly anxious of throwing Hail Mary lead straight rights(without feints or lead hand set-up/probing) would give Crawford hell.

With that being said, no boxer in history is perfect, Floyd had some bad habits against Southpaws too. It was always so risky of him to throw some of his straight rights to the body or the head in past fights, and one thing about Crawford is that his right hook when he switches to southpaw is his only bread and butter against overly aggressive orthodox boxers.

To keep it short, Floyd would have to be on his P’s and Q’s and following the same game plan he had against Guerrero and not being overly anxious with the straight right hand(use that lead hand/probing or feints to set it up first before firing), just don’t do what Brook did of constantly throwing it over and over even when he was not in punching range to land in some of those sequences and simply TAKE AWAY Crawford’s bread and butter as a southpaw(that wide looping right hook counter he likes to bait and throw when orthodox gets out of position. Bud is a good technician, Floyd was just masterful. 8-4 or 9-3, Floyd “TB MOTHER****!!ng E” Mayweather.

Not only that pay really close attention to foot placement and positioning, they’re the biggest factors of winning or losing a fight. Bud has good technique, he’s not a switch-hitter to me in my opinion. He’s simply a southpaw who likes to switch to orthodox as a feel out for a round or two, and then he reverts back to what he’s comfortable of doing which fighting as a southpaw for the rest of each and every of his fights.

Bud’s technique isn’t as crisp as Floyd’s was, but Bud’s main equalizer is his devastating power in both hands and his good timing. With that being said, Floyd would have to be a moron to think he would just walk Crawford down by being overly anxious with that straight right hand. He would have to set it up correctly and bait Crawford into walking into it, not constantly hunting for it with nothing to disguise like Kell Brook did.

Floyd would need to take away Crawford’s lead hand/right hook, and if he were to make Crawford’s lead hand ineffective, then there’s nothing else Crawford would’ve been able to do other than trying to fight as an orthodox and in which case, he would’ve been proceeded of getting a boxing lesson by a much better technician in, Floyd Mayweather.
