Sounds like suggested reading for all of the people demanding that Naoya Inoue keep climbing divisions.

Canelo is also 5'8" and fighting 168 and 175 pounders and that's why he is the face of boxing.

Canelo is shorter than Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia

It's a weight class not a height class otherwise Rey Vargas would be considered a middleweight just because he's 5'10 at featherweight.

He could fight at 160 I think.

I would favour him to pot shot Canelo to death there, but no way Canelo is fighting out of 168 again.

would Jermal beat Crawford at 160? I don’t think so

I guess they want to see Fundora v Fury next too?! Some don't realize there is more to weight than just height, have to look at someone's frame.

Crawford is right, unfortunately many boxing fans don't get it. They'd rather watch fighters perform at heavier weights, where they are not their best, just to see where they struggle. Or pick off past prime, belt holders as some mark of greatness.

Performing at whatever weight you are at your relative best is how you show how great you are. Be where you are best at Bud.

If Bud goes up to 154, then Charlo’s belt fight makes sense. I don’t think Crawford has any interest in fighting Spence again unless it’s for big money and a second fight won’t do nearly as well as the first - financially or interest wise. If Spence tries to invoke the rematch clause, if I were Crawford, I’d choose 147 lbs. so Spence would have to make a choice whether he really wants to make that weight or rebound at 154 lbs. against a different opponent. That would be a better career decision to me, if I were Spence, but who knows what he’s thinking. After Charlo gets beat by Canelo by unwisely jumping two weight divisions for the big money, dropping back down and defending his 154 title against Bud should sell but that depends on how Charlo performs against Alvarez. If he shows poor and gets knocked out, then Charlo might just quit or go into a funk for another year or so.

Spence against Tsyzu at 154? That would be a title fight for either Spence or Crawford. But I’m not sure Bud wants to go up in weight that quick as he is a natural welterweight and he makes the weight easily. I’m not sure that Spence would want a tough fight like Tsyzu for his first jump to 154 even though many folks believe that Tsyzu isn’t that good. I don’t believe that. Spence would be better off getting a tune-up fight at 154 or even fight Thurman at that weight. For all of Thurman’s talk, I don’t think he has much left in the tank. How many fights does Crawford have left? Money is always important but I think Bud is looking for four titles at 154 lbs. and then calling it a career.

Bud is a smart dude , knows very well he just wouldn't be the same fighter above 154, personally I would like to watch him as far as 160 but ofc he knows what hes talking about here ,a wise man should know his body and limitations. We will know for sure once he starts campaigning as a superwelter. Maybe he'll do so well he might look for 5th division title. From 135 to 160 , pretty badass.
