Fighters in this modern era are able to move up through the weight classes, because of the day before weigh in rule 'Making this activity easier'.

Why is Crawford not fighting at 140 pounds now? Because he was weight draining himself too much to make that limit.

Crawford won't fight at 160 pounds, or is reluctant to because 'These modern day fighters quite simply all want to be the big man on fight night'.

And this is one of the reasons why when we talk about past great fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Junior & Pacquiao 'Crawford is a great fighter, but he is not on their level'.

Neither Mayweather Junior or Pacquiao put a big emphasis on weight draining themselves to be the big man.

Floyd Mayweather Junior trained to beat his opponent primarily, he did not train to make the weight.

Fighters in this modern era, due to the toxic weight draining culture 'Train to make a weight limit, they don't train to fight primarily'.

Note: If anyone has a issue or disrupts anything I say, well? You can go and watch all the videos online, of fighters weight draining themselves. You can even watch a short documentary of Crawford applying these techniques.

Year after year, fight after fight. Making the weight is continually a major factor in most of the big fights that are being made 'Within the lower weight divisions'.

There have been two super fights that have been made this year, Garcia vs Tank Davis & Crawford vs Spence Junior.

During the aftermath of both these fights, making the weight limit has been used as a excuse for the losing fighters performance.

Understand what I am saying, this is completely unprecedented in boxing history. Never before at such a high frequency, have so many fights had controversy or excuses surrounding them due to fighters weight draining themselves.

Dillian Whyte vs Anthony Joshua is a Heavyweight fight scheduled to happened on 12th of August.

That Heavyweight fight is a better fight than both Garcia vs Tank Davis & Crawford vs Spence Junior 'In terms of, people know what they are watching'.

Because both fighters are training fight, both fighters are training primarily to win.

I would say that 154 pounds is most likely Crawford's natural weight class 'So although I have said many things in this post, what he is saying is understandable and correct'.

If Crawford was to fight at 160 pounds, he would now be put in a situation where he was being out weighed on fight night by a considerable amount 'Fighting under these circumstances would test his greatest more, but really I don't think he is mandated to forced himself into such a fight'.

Crawford is under no obligation to fight at 160 pounds etc.

I like that about Crawford. He is realistic and doesn't just talk nonsense.

Moving up in weight once you get to the higher weight classes is just very different than the lower weight classes. Pac was a unique situation because he started off so scrawny. He was also a fairly small WW, but just about belonged.

I think Crawford going from LW to 154 not to just dip his toes, but to takeover, is insane. People already said he was too small for welterweight.

Meh not necessarily. Porter was a better opponent than Donaire, Spence was a better opponent than Fulton & someone like Tim Tzyu or Thurman would be a better opponent than Tapales.

I apprecaite the thought out post.

But come on dude, people have been weight draining themselves for decades in the sport its not a new phenomena. And you just picked two fighters, who of course fought at WW because thats where all the fights for them were at.

Crawford has been growing. To say hes a natural 154ser is just a bit crazy. Dude started as a LW and never looked drained. Completly dominated his opponents with skill and counter punches, nothing to do with the weight. He always looked pumped and energetic. Did he looked drained after destroying Spence? Of course not

People were saying hes not a real WW, not long ago.

Yeah this is nonsense. Crawford would beat Pac at 135, 140 & 147. Basically ANY version of Pac. He’d beat Floyd at 147 too. 140 or 135 I’m not sure.

Anyone with talent n a breath would be gunning for that Lara "160". Aka 157 title it's winnable and you can say on your resume another division champ just vanquish it right after like Canelo did kovalov
