Linares is making a horrible mistake. He is done, finished, through. At best, he tarnishes his legacy, at worst he risks serious injury.

Im riding that Linares train till the wheels fall off. I dont even care about his wins and losses.

I hope he has that one last magic left in him.

Stop reading boxrec, and watch boxing.
Stop going off compubox and what the commentary tells you your seeing. Maybe then a lot of you wouldn't be crying about kambosos hughes or loma haney either. Some of you should try watching on mute and without listening to these pundits. Might help. Catterall had his best night still couldn't clearly win. And still not fighting top 10 boxers if he feels hes the real undisputed why you fighting bums and shot fighters

And old, blown up Linares is still the second most difficult challenge Catterall will have ever faced.

This is perfectly good fight. War Linares.

Same! Good fighter and a likable dude. I know he's been training and is mentally in the right place. He's been wanting a fight. BUT of course his best days are behind him...

To all the people saying they will be loyal to Linares. You could'a said the same for Ali before Holmes, RJJ before Lebedev, Meldrick before Chavez II. It is lovely & easy to sit & cheer your favourite boxer going up one more time, no matter how old & broken down he seems. You aren't gong to have to deal with the consequences of him ending up blind, or in a wheelchair, or with permanent, irreversible brain damage. He & his family will have to cope with that for maybe another 30 years. Y'all need to think about when does loyalty becomes cruelty.

Yeah without commentary we'd never have known Taylors face was battered up and cut multiple times and that knockdown, how would we have spotted it.

Ian John Lewis is that you?

Even tho he's lost his last 3 and is far past his best days, Linares skills and ability has always been a treat to watch. Glad to see he gets one last roll of the die to stay alive at the top even tho he's just an opponent with name value nowadays. Hoping he has one last great performance, win or lose, and rides off with his faculties in check.

I think most have been saying the same for the last four years to have one last big performance but poor guy just doesn’t have that extra level in him. Luckily for him he does have some pull in boxing and he’ll keep getting fights after fights until he decides to retire
