They might not be the highest level caliber fighters but they sure are levels above Golovkins entire resume except for Jacob’s who I consider the same level as the fighters you mentioned. If he goes up to 175 I wouldn’t mind seeing Benavidez fight Smith to see how he’ll be able to hang with the rest. That would be a good test, both are tall and have been fighting one division below their physical comfort...Jack_sh*t likes this.

Golovkin sold out his legacy once he knew that the Alvarez payday was almost guaranteed. The way he fights is almost guaranteed that he’ll have a long career and if you add to the fact that 175 isn’t really that competitive besides Beterbiev as a rival who else is left? Maybe if Benavidez goes up a division but even then I don’t see him giving Bivol any issues...

Awful fight. If it does happen Bivol might as well try to capitalize on it by knocking Mungia out and hopefully he’ll be known as the new Mexican assassin. Other than that this fight does nothing for him other than a payday...
