Look at the landscape of Boxing today and tell me how many fighters who are within the top 10 take more than 3 fights a year. The answer is...NONE OF THEM. The days of fighters like Chavez are over. The structure of the sport has changed, money's changed, fighter's mentalities of fighting have changed, it's a completely different era.

It's just silly dude. HBO would laugh at Floyd with such a suggestion.
Floyd doesnt NEED hbo TO FIGHT A BOXING MATCH !
I am pretty sure Showtime,CBS,EPSN,etc would love to show a Floyd Mayweather stay busy fight!

Truth Is, HBO needs Floyd more than Floyd needs HBO right now..!
Ask Mark Taffet, Ask Ross Greenburg....
    who said.
FLOYD means more to boxing Than KOBE or LEBRON to the NBA !!

floyd said it himself he wants to fight in London!
Floyd talked about wanting to get a house in the UK.
And how he gets love from his UK fans...

What better way to kick it his UK lovefeast than TO do a stay busy fight in the UK?

Off subject but I think If Pacquiao and Mayweather fight next year they shouldnt have the fight in the U.S.... They should have it in the U.K. at Wembley... That would be epic the attendance

        Aside from that..

Boxing is different now as I said.. You can't use the past as an example of how Floyd's career should be. Everything about boxing has changed, from how its promoted, to how many rounds they go for, to how much competition it has in the form of other PPV events, to how often fighters fight, to how much more money it generates per fight.

And stuff wasn't televised and reported on as much as it is nowadays. If he does fights that are less in the international eye and what not..the eye in the sky is still watching. His performance would still be covered by sportscasters and newspapers, and all forms of the scrutinizing media. After all, it is Mayweather.

Plus, how would fighting those with far far far less than his level of ability help keep him sharp? If anything, it would just dull his edge when he finally goes against world class opposition. I mean he made freaking Marquez look like a mook, just think how he'd make some of these guys you're talking about him fighting look. Anything less than a certain level of opposition would be detrimental, imo.
        look i understand your P.O.V.
But The reason I keep bringing up the past is because going back to the way they used to do it in the past has proven to work...

        My example:
MOVIE THEATERS. which by all accounts prove to be a huge success.

That tells me that promoters like Goldenboy, and Mayweather are looking to the past for their Future success....WHICH is a good thing.

Floyd doing Stay busy fights in Other countries would be good for boxing.
Just like the Lakers playing Pre season games in Europe,Asia, and South America would be good for the NBA.

        It expands your sport.
Especially when your top star is doing it.

You buy into too much of Floyd's bull****. Come on, you're going to believe what an executive for a network says about Floyd being bigger for Boxing than Kobe or Lebron are for NBA? Don't you think just mayb e he's trying to sell his product? But he'd go fight on Showtime or ESPN?

SMH...I think even Floyd would laugh at you lol

Please dude lol. That fight says LAS VEGAS all over it. You'd be the dumbest promoter in the world to have it anywhere else.

It would be very rational for him not to take another 5-8 month lay-off after he was just off for 2 years....Mayweather Said he was alittle bit rusty so if he is trying to get his skills sharper SINCE HE IS ALITTLE BIT OLDER.
What better way than a stay busy fight?

like I said before Juilo Ceasar Chavez use to take stay busy fights all the time he used to fight every month fighting fighters with only 3 career pro fights when he has already fought 60+ fights...

Furthermore Thats why I said he could do the fight in the UK..Build up his base more over there and after that fight HE CAN put his fight with Pacquaio or Cotto on P.P.V in the UK RATHER THAN JUST HAVE IT ON SKY SPORTS...
if Amir Khan fights are on P.P.V in the UK.. Floyd Mayweather should make it his mission to get his fights on P.P.V in the UK....

And the best way to do that, is to start fighting in the UK.
and what better way to start fighting in the UK than with a stay busy fight?

                1. HBO isn't paying for it

                2. Floyd isn't fighting bums, he's getting enough hell for fighting Marquez and not stepping to Mosley let alone Nov 14th could be his next opponent.

                3. Boxing in the 70s and 80s and Boxing today are night and day. No promoter is going to risk so much money having fight over seas without the aid of the big casinos in Vegas for Floyd to fight some bum. Fighters don't fight 5-6 times a year. When was the last time you seen Floyd fight more than twice a year?

I keep saying it does not need to big a mega fight...I keep telling you guysthis...he doesnt need a big name. it doesnt have to be on P.,P.V

                      Once again.
I say if he did 2 maybe 3 stay busy fights in the UK with Popular UK fighters on the Undercard

And maybe even IF he could get fighters like Matthew Macklin, Tyson fury,John Murry ( I said maybe)
on his british undercard, if he promise them he would put them on one of his MEGAFIGHT undercard in America....

I think he would build a very big fan based in the UK...

which overall would be to his and boxing benefit.

Thats why I said he could do the fight in the UK..Build up his base more over there and after that fight HE CAN put his fight with Pacquaio or Cotto on P.P.V in the UK RATHER THAN JUST HAVE IT ON SKY SPORTS...
