Plus, Kimbo got paid $500,000 to fight on CBS. You "really" think Floyd would take less than $10 Million??? LOL c'mon man...do you even remember WHY Boxing left network TV? When did you start watching Boxing?
Floyd Mayweather is GREAT business man. I am pretty sure he would get more than enough money to fight on Network tv.
So I dont worry about Floyd when it comes to him neogatiating money.

He has said he wants to fight on Network tv...So i believe he can make it happen...

Like I said before,Tyson lost to Buster Douglas in Japan not in America on Network TV... Buster Douglas was a 40-1 underdog I believe....
meaning they didnt think Buster wasnt going to be any competetion.
but they showed the fight because tyson was a draw. They knew commerical money would come in for this fight.

the more Floyd fights the better boxing is...
the same way the more Oscar fought the better boxing was
the same way the more Tyson fought the better boxing was
the same way the more SRL fought the better boxing was

You want the face of your sport and your sport on Network tv,,,
Floyd doesnt have to be in a Superbowl every fight...
even Boxing has a regular season. The reason games are called Stay busy fights.

I want to DRIVE THIS POINT HOME !!!

Floyd doing Stay busy fights in Other countries would be good for boxing.
Just like the Lakers playing Pre season games in Europe,Asia, and South America would be good for the NBA.

      It expands your sport.
Especially when your top star is doing it.

I like your idea of a tune up and being in UK man, having some good upcoming fighters ont he undercard, like brook etc would be cool too!

Makes perfect sense for him to have a tune up anyway if he is going for Cotto/Pac winner, they fight Nov, he should fight dec/earlier Jan then he fights the winner later on. Pac/Cotto will be a war most likely so they need a bit of rest...

It's true It would be very reasonable and rational.for him not to take another 5-8 month lay-off after he was just off for 2 years....

furthermore it is very apparant that he has a good base in the uk...So why not build on that base and take a stay busy fight in the UK...?

It is very rational. Plus it could be on for free on HBO or he can try to get it on showtime or network tv.....

Like I said before,if Amir Khan fights are on P.P.V in the UK.. Floyd Mayweather should make it his mission to get his fights on P.P.V in the UK....

And the best way to do that, is to start fighting in the UK.
and what better way to start fighting in the UK than with a stay busy fight.

I wouldnt mind seeing Floyd fight again in december...would you?
And I am pretty sure his UK fans would love to see him fight there even if it is a Stay busy fight....

Floyd isn't a great business man nor is good with money (obviously), Al Haymon is.

Al Haymon can't and won't get Floyd on network TV unless it's on a highly rated TV show. Network TV and Boxing lost touch with one another when promoters saw how much money they could make off PPV and with the cable networks. Its too much of a risk for the networks without a recent track record for Boxing cards on network TV.

Again, Floyd is all about fighting big names. This is all people are waiting for. Anything less would be a disgrace and a complete slap in the face for Boxing considering the matches that can and will be made as early as next year.

It's not happening. I guarantee it.

The thing with you man is no matter how much things make sense in the real world, if it involves Mayweather you believe he can part the red sea. If network TV were that crazed to get a marquee name in the sport to televise, they'd go with someone like Pacquiao who provides consistent action. Why do you think CBS is airing Strikeforce or anything MMA related? Because people will be KO'd, choked out, or what have you. It's instant gratification for the demographic they're hitting. Boxing was in the same position in the 80s, but look at the fights and fighters they used to televise. You put Floyd on this pedestal that you conveniently create, but the reality is Floyd is not the most exciting guy to watch. Brilliant boxer no doubt, but he isn't going to just step up to Network TV and be Boxing's figurehead. It's not that easy.

Floyd's about making money and the networks aren't dishing out any money for Boxing because they see the level of popularity it's at right now...NO WHERE NEAR where it once was when the networks still aired it.

Provide me with the last time network TV aired a Boxing match of high magnitude.
