There's no fancy logic or anything difficult to comprehend more than just realizing Floyd will fight Shane Mosley and or the winner of Cotto vs Pacquiao.
please point to the post IN THIS THREAD... where i made a argument against
      floyd fighting the best?
      or
Floyd not fighting another fighter !
      or
      Floyd not fighting a champion!

I am not talking about a megafight.
Which requires fighting the best, or a good champion.
I am taking about a stay busy fight in which he can showcase his skills, get some work in, and sharpen his arsenol for his next MEGA MATCH
It would be very rational for him not to take another 5-8 month lay-off after he was just off for 2 years....Mayweather Said he was alittle bit rusty so if he is trying to get his skills sharper SINCE HE IS ALITTLE BIT OLDER.
What better way than a stay busy fight?

like I said before Juilo Ceasar Chavez use to take stay busy fights all the time he used to fight every month fighting fighters with only 3 career pro fights when he has already fought 60+ fights...

Floyd doesnt need HBO to do a stay busy fight.
Just Cotto didnt need HBO to do a stay busy fight..

Plus it could be on for free on HBO or he can try to get it on showtime or network tv.....

Like I said before,if Amir Khan fights are on P.P.V in the UK.. Floyd Mayweather should make it his mission to get his fights on P.P.V in the UK....

And the best way to do that, is to start fighting in the UK.
and what better way to start fighting in the UK than with a stay busy fight.

I wouldnt mind seeing Floyd fight again in december...would you?
And I am pretty sure his UK fans would love to see him fight there even if it is a Stay busy fight....

But again man, you obviously do not understand the business of Boxing and the networks that dish out money for these events to occur. HBO (Floyd's employer) ARE NOT dishing out money for Floyd to fight some journeyman in the UK. Floyd IS BEYOND fighting busy fights. This generation doesn't take busy fights. Look at the landscape of Boxing today and tell me how many fighters who are within the top 10 take more than 3 fights a year. The answer is...NONE OF THEM. The days of fighters like Chavez are over. The structure of the sport has changed, money's changed, fighter's mentalities of fighting have changed, it's a completely different era.

It's just silly dude. HBO would laugh at Floyd with such a suggestion.

ah , I understand. My fault.

              Aside from that..

How and why...if he the fans know these are stay busy fights like Ali, Chavez,SRL,Marvin Hagler,Terry Norris,Thomas Hearns, all used to have.

Every fight doesnt have to be a super event. Boxing History prove this.
Go look at any great popular fighter... and it is full with stay busy fights...

Floyd should be no different...especially since he has an oppurtunity to gin from taking some stay busy fights in the UK..
Boxing is different now as I said.. You can't use the past as an example of how Floyd's career should be. Everything about boxing has changed, from how its promoted, to how many rounds they go for, to how much competition it has in the form of other PPV events, to how often fighters fight, to how much more money it generates per fight.

And stuff wasn't televised and reported on as much as it is nowadays. If he does fights that are less in the international eye and what not..the eye in the sky is still watching. His performance would still be covered by sportscasters and newspapers, and all forms of the scrutinizing media. After all, it is Mayweather.

Plus, how would fighting those with far far far less than his level of ability help keep him sharp? If anything, it would just dull his edge when he finally goes against world class opposition. I mean he made freaking Marquez look like a mook, just think how he'd make some of these guys you're talking about him fighting look. Anything less than a certain level of opposition would be detrimental, imo.

None of those fights had the full backing of HBO and they're 24/7 series.

Without HBO's marketing muscle Floyd is just another boring Cory Spinks type boxer.

                Wake up ******.
