If Ennis really wants it, trigger his fu.cking mandatory and it puts Bud on notice.

Bud beats the beard off Ennis if it happens.

I think this is the response that we all would've expected from Crawford, and can you blame him? Crawford/Spence could be perceived as the completion of a WW chapter. Ennis isn't a loose end, he's part of the next crop of upcoming WW's: Ennis, Ortiz, Rocha, Benn, Crowley, etc. None of these guys have fought each other. Crawford would be doing the sport and Ennis a favor if he defended against him. But....we should never expect boxers to be altruistic.

If Charlo is who Crawford wants next, no reason why he should not be respected for it. By October and beyond, they'd both be available for each other and should be ready for the negotiations. Showtime's Espinoza better be prepared to make the fight. This is serious business.

If it’s a question of money then obviously Bud would make $20 million plus in Australia so sure but Bud fought Avanesyan and Kavaliauskas BOTH ranked below Boots.
Whether Bud beats Boots or not, Boots is the top contender at 147. Nothing wrong if Bud moved to 154.

Canelo should be fighting Benavidez in September. Charlo should be getting this Tszyu clown out of the way and then it’s Bud vs Charlo next.

If Crawford becomes lineal champion at 154 he'll be a four division lineal champion. In the history of boxing only Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have accomplished that feat.
still a good fight, but the casual audience wont be there imho.. depending on how bad charlo loses to canelo.. if charlo does good vs canelo maybe even in defeat the interest will be there...

A guy one month short of 36 years old gets himself in the position to command any fight he wants, and openly looks for the biggest rewards available. Who can blame him? The man's heading into his late stages: there's only so much time left and it's better to cash out at the top than on the slide.

He'd still be the biggest name and biggest fight available at 154. Who else is there? Tim Tszyu, Brian Mendoza, Keith Thurman, Spence rematch? The Charlo fight for lineal would be bigger regardless of the outcome of the Canelo fight.

For the record, I think it's doubtful Charlo returns to 154 either way.
