Again, I did not say a single word about Derrick James. Not sure why you keep talking as though I did anyway. I've never been a Spence fan if that helps you any.

I disagree. I think he’s had ATG talent but he did hit that status in my eyes until he demolished a great fighter.

Well perhaps you are right. Maybe can't replicate that same performance against other worthy opponents. However, he did look absolutely phenomenal on Saturday night with his dominating performance over Errol Spence. It was his career defining moment.

            ———-
Khan fans say the same thing about him fighting Canelo or wanting the Floyd smoke. How brave he was for fighting everyone ignoring that he was getting destroyed in those fights.

If PAC was as “brave” as you believe, why not fight Cotto at 147? Why not an actual legit belt holder at 154? Why fight guys that were coming off losses?

PAC was a great fighter and would have beaten Cotto regardless of weight but the bottom line is Freddy Roach specifically stated that he “wants to give his guy every advantage he can”.
PAC could have beaten any of the top ranked WW so there was no need to enforce catchweights ot fight guys that were coming off losses like Mosley, Rios, Mathysse etc.

It might not be quite as dominant as last week because Spence was just so off his game (slow, fragile, awkward), but Crawford will be a solid favorite over anybody he faces next.
I think everything gelled perfectly and he had more motivation than ever. I know he’s always been a beast but all of the stars aligned perfectly on Saturday in a fight most thought was 50/50. He won’t be ever underestimated again so he won’t have that extra motivation.

You believe Spence and/or his team underestimated Crawford? You believe Crawford needed that as motivation to get up for this fight?

I don’t think they underestimated him, they just thought they were better, which was reasonable. But the boxing ring is a truth teller, he proved he was superior. I think his motivation was the fact that half the world thought him and Spence were similar in talent. He shut that down.

I rushed out the arena immediately after the stoppage. I thought Spence would when. I still have humble pie stuck in my teeth lol.
